Thank you for your reply - as always, you've been very helpful. :goodvibes Not sure why I didn't think of this before, but glad I remembered to ask before we'd finished packing!

I also appreciate the updates about Dover & London trains as although we're in the UK, we've never visited either location before. So looking forward to this cruise - only 5 more working days for me now. :woohoo:

Whilst the ladies have always done this in Rome and Greece it didn't cross our minds until we were on tour with Anastasia and the guide reminded us. My daughter was in shorts, they supplied the wrap to assist.

Hope you have a wonderful vacation, I wish you the very best for safe travels and a magical time!!!

We are all very excited about the cruise next week. DD decided at bedtime tonight that she desperately needed to start packing her toys NOW! Just another nine bedtimes to cope with.

Awwww. That's so sweet! I'm picturing an entire suitcase filled to the brim with all her favorite toys. :) I'm a Make-A-Wish Wish Granter and it reminds me of the Discovery (1st) Visit with a new wish kid when the 3yo girl told us her "one true wish" was to meet the princesses at Disney World. Her 5yo brother was so excited about this that he disappeared for about ten minutes and then came back into the room dragging his school backpack, announcing that he was packed and ready to go right then! When his Mom opened the bag to see what he packed, it was full of toys and his teddy bear. Kids are awesome! :lovestruc

Toys, books, sunglasses, hat and musical jewellery box (from last cruise). It's a good thing we don't have to worry about a flight allowance this time.

We received a message from DVC today advising that the "all new" member celebration will be at 5 pm on Wednesday July 22 in the D Lounge. Does anyone know the time that we leave Dover? Thank you!

The onboard time is 4 pm, which is when I think that they do the muster drill, with the sailaway party after that. It sounds like the DVC meet will be right after the sailaway party.

Wow! I really thought it would be on a sea day. The previous cruise to St Pete's (I know it left from Copenhagen) had it on the first sea day rather than embarkation. I guess I'll just have to swing by the DVC desk when I check in

I was hoping that it would be the first sea day also.

18:00 is what is stated in the Port of Dover website.

They " book" the dock longer in case of delays, we will go by 5 pm BST if everyone is on. Sail away party starts at 4.15. Mandatory muster drill at 4 pm, most will be down on deck 4 before that. The Port of Dover website said the Magic would be in at 8 am last Friday. I was there at 5.30am and she was docked then.

And when are you going to unpack???

The sail way Port side looking at the White cliffs, if sunny, will be a highlight, and not a time for a meeting.
We definitely want to enjoy the view of the White Cliffs! Since we will be spending a few days in London prior to our cruise, we will have dirty laundry and will be using the self service laundry room. There won't be too much else to unpack!

I think the laundry will be busy on the four sea days.

If anyone is 'on ship' in St Petes, that will be the perfect time to do it.

We're DVC members, haven't had an invite to the meet from Disney yet, and I was wondering if it was worth going to the meet? Is it fun? What usually happens there? This is our first Disney cruise (our first cruise of any description in fact :teeth: ), so is it worth taking time out to go?

Whilst I am not DVC on my 12 night Med cruise they had quite a few meets, not just the one, and so you could catch up.
