I think they will have a few wine package options for our cruise. :drinking1

So, we just packed two suitcases with all the essential items. Tomorrow, our goal is to pack the fish extenders, our carry-on suitcase with two days worth of clothing, and shop for the items that we still need.

We just watched the reviews of our BA flight from SFO-LHR and the Terraces Lounge in both airports. This is going to be exciting!

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Your organised.

Yes but the question is if they would have a length of cruise one, however on every cruise over 7 nights the maximum they offer is a 7 night and then you have to buy another to make it up.

I just found this great site to track flights. It shows a history of the airlines track record of flying out on time, late, or even turning around mid-flight.

I used it to determine what time that I need to have the private direct transfer to pick us up from the airport and from the Port of Dover.

Hope this helps those trying to schedule transfers from the airport and from the port.

We are scheduled to be on the Shuttle Bus from Central London to Dover. Hopefully, it will be resolved. I have been watching the news and hope that it doesn't affect our travel to and from.

Current travel time from Central London to Dover 1hr 45mins. We don't need to use the M20 motorway if necessary as we can approach via the A2. Operation Stack has been going for years and is a pretty well rehearsed Op.

Thank you for that information. I have been thinking on how challenging it might be to get around the gridlock.

Where we live in the Santa Cruz Mountains (7 mins. from Los Gatos), there's a stretch of highway called, "Highway 17". During the summer weekends, it's gridlock with all the people who would like to go to the beach in Santa Cruz, Aptos, Monterey, etc. A normal errand run downtown will take 10 mins.

To make matters, if there is an accident, the highway shuts down until the accident is completely cleared. We always joke that it would be faster to walk up the trail parallel to the highway to return home.

So, I am glad to hear from you that there's a work around.

Thank you again!

Current news photo from M20 main road to Dover, plus it was closed for four junctions this morning re an incident.

You will get through, but plan extra time...

The biggest thing to remember for those travelling by road from London on the Baltic Buccaneer Bus ....if we are struggling, so are the DCL buses and I can guarantee that they are departing later than we are from London. We can contact you all if the situation requires it. As long as everyone is at their allocated departure point at the correct time (or slightly earlier) it should not be an issue

I would add, whilst I posted re the issues in London and Dover, the cruisers who booked the bus, have made a very shrewd choice, as you will not be affected by trains or tube getting there. There is a chance the M20 may take longer but at the time your going, you will still get there in plenty of time.

My post was more focused on people going DIY as a heads up of current issues to have a back up plan.

We appreciate all the info. We will be taking the train but our departure is early to allow time. In fact we are schuleded to arrive an hour before our on board time.

Please remember to pack an extra day worth of clothing and pjs in you hand-carry.

Two years ago, a woman's luggage was lost and it didn't arrive until our 3rd port day.

It was so sad, because she did not think that she needed it.

I am packing a dress, too. Just in case.

BTW, those connecting from BA to AA, please confirm your flight connections.

I reminded DH to enter his info to register his passport and meal. Then, it informed him that his flight was cancelled. It took us two days to fix it.

Safe travels to everyone.

Port of Dover just sent a tweet that Operation Stack is no longer in effect.

Therefore, traffic flowing towards the port.

True but its not all over yet.

The workers on France went on strike on two separate days last week, they can do it again and effect us again.

They strike, it builds up they stop, the back log is cleared they strike again.
