Hi all! Booked this cruise last night on board the 2 night cruise to nowhere out of San Diego. It will be Stacy and Dennis and our two sons Dylan (16 at time of cruise) and Gavin (10 at time of cruise). I'm on page 10 of this thread, and enjoy reading all the posts and getting to know you. We have done 3 cruises on Disney, all on the Wonder, to Mexico, Alaska, and San Diego. I can't tell you how excited we are for this cruise. We have never traveled to Europe, and look at this as a trip of a lifetime!

Hi all, we just signed up for this cruise while on Disney Fantasy last week!! So excited!! Looks like this will be a very active group!! I will need to get caught up on the board!!

We would like to participate on the FE. My DD4 loved getting the "presents" and passing them out last week!! It was like Christmas everyday for the whole 7 days that we were on board! :rotfl:

Welcome.

Congratulations to The Wombles on winning the "Name the Cruise" competition.

The winning entry was "Baltic Buccaneers"

Large bar of Dairy Milk coming your way at the Dis Meet on board.

Maybe we now need to have a competition to design the "Baltic Buccaneers" logo.

Wow that's great. We look forward to sharing the chocolate onboard :) Thanks Paul.

Is there anyone out there with artistic skills to create a logo? We certainly don't have those skills and it would be fun to have a logo to recognise each other on the cruise.

Have messaged our TA about changing our deposit from the dummy cruise we booked on the August 24, 2013 Med cruise on the Magic to this N European one! My family, DH and 2 DDs under 7 live in England so are ecstatic about not having to fly to port! Not sure if we will do FEs this time as more work than I had time for previously and we will be on a tighter budget.

Lisa
PS also a geocacher!

Thanks! Reservation made but didn't get the stateroom we wanted. Just 3 doors down though, so should be fine if the adjoining neighbor isn't too noisy! Just need to pay the increase in deposit and we are confirmed!

I love the "Baltic Buccaneers"! I also loved some of the other clever names, but nothing rolled off the tongue like the Baltic Buccaneers! Maybe we could hijack the TB Buccaneers mascot for our cruise-- lots of stuff available with the Buccaneers logo and an image of a pirate.

Logo sounds great but sadly not artistic
I am sure somebody will have the talent

StacyLace & Dennis --
Welcome to (err, the discussions and planning for) the cruise!
My wife (TiggerPU88) and I will be bringing our, by-then, almost 14-year old son with us who loves the whole DCL experience as well.
.
He's not an organized sports guy, but he plays a mean game of Gaga ball, and enjoys performing, improv, singing, etc. Do I need to mention that he enjoys video games?
.
First trip to England for my wife and son, and seeing the Baltic capitals will be a trip of a lifetime, done with great convenience and comfort.

We'll be joining you all too! Been lurking here since this cruise was announced and finally have booked today.

It will be 3 of us. Myself, DH and DD aged 17.

The 22 July is our 20th Wedding Anniversary too, so we're really excited to be sailing from Dover on this day. No flights  just a 5 hour drive down from Yorkshire.

I'll try and get my posts up to 10 so I can join the Facebook group to help with the planning!

Welcome welcome it's a UK cruisers take over so nice to have another join.

Thanks for the welcome!
I know! Lots of British!

I've been waiting for this cruise since last time they did the Baltics!
We had to do the repo from Dover to Barcelona because I was teaching and it didn't fit with school holidays. That was a good cruise with great ports. It was packed though as they'd offered some discounts on top of the great price for a repo!

Yes it's great it fills into school holidays this time, we did it in 2010 but had to take the children out of school a few days, I have done that England South run but on RCL we did a fourteen night round trip covering the same ports of call, nice ship, poor entertainment.

The joy of Disney- the shows and entertainment in general is excellent.

DD will be half way through her A-levels, but we'd have taken her out of school this time if the dates hadn't worked with her school holidays. She's doing History so it fits with totaletarian regimes going to Russia- oh and Denmark for the beer!
