To be honest, I had got no further than thinking about it as and idea!!! I was hoping someone else would know somewhere and say they would be going!

I have been trying to find some more info on Palermo and came across this article in The Times. Makes me think perhaps Palermo isn't as bad as others have been saying!!!

Last day at work for me today, tomorrow is ironing, putting FE's together and packing. I am NOT going to be doing it all on Monday, as we leave on Tuesday.

By the way, we are thinking of getting an Ipad (I love my iphone), to take with us for movies and games on the plane etc. Does anyone have any experience of them and can you upload photos from a digital camera? Just thought it worth asking.

Wow, our cruise is really coming close now! I'm in vacations since Monday so have done as much research as possible this week. We're planning to take it really easy and just take a walk in town in most ports. Only for Rome we want to do a real effort

I made a PDF-file (to read on our Ipad on board) with info that I copy-pasted from different website. It has info on the Magic and all ports. If anyone is interested, just send me your address and I'll e-mail it.

Kate, you told you're considering an Ipad. I would go for it It's really handy to read stuff on and to watch a movie. However you can't use it to upload your photos on.

Am not sure yet about our formal wear (as some wrote above). Same reason as the others: limited bagage space. We'll see how much space is left when we pack Monday

1) Can you please give me the link for the thread where people have given their reviews of the various private tours in the Med? We're looking at picking a few but would love to pick a trusted tour operator with good reviews.

2) Our family (DH, DS, DS-7 and DD-5) would be interested in joining another family for splitting the cost of a private tour for Rome for the day visiting all the regular sites as its our first time in Rome. Jill, sounds like your tour's van will only fit another 1-3. Interested in splitting a larger van? If not, anyone else interested?

I just had a look at the 29th June Cruise thread, they are all back now and saying what they thought was good, bad etc. on their trip, its interesting to read.

They met up at Teller Tapas, just north off Placa Catalyna (sp), I think we may head there Tuesday evening, if anyone wants to come along. I am not going to book or arrange anything formal, just in case we are too tired etc., but that will be the plan, around 6/7 in the evening.

Hi all - hope everyone is starting to get ready for the big day next week!! I feel as though I'm almost on holiday now, dd breaks up from school today and we've come to the end (almost!) of a very exhausting time for us all :- charity concert for cancer research last Monday which was amazing, all the kids were simply stunning, dd's b/day last Tuesday, drama school production at local theatre - 5 day run and this will make our friends from the States smile...dd's solo spot in the show was...wait for it...The Star Spangled Banner and she was fab!, school jazz concert on Monday and the first of many rehearsals for the UK tour of Joseph and the Amazing Tech Dreamcoat on Tuesday.........I am sooooooooooooooo ready for this holiday!!! We leave for Barcelona on Sunday, so looking forward to a few relaxing days there before we set sail on Wednesday. Kate, we may well bump into you at the AC Diplomatic as I know we're both there and I look forward to meeting everyone else onboard - can't wait!! DD has been having some great chats with other girls from out trip, they've totally organised themselves for a meet in the terminal - that should be fun to see them "do their thing!!" when they all get together See you soon everyone

Considering our cruise is almost to capacity, there are not many people on this board. So let's look for each other. My family of four will be wearing something matching in the terminal.
