We leave on Monday, first thing but before then I have to clean the whole house, be waxed, spray tanned, have nails painted and hair done, pack and try to leave our business handed over to safe hands, re-house the rabbit and dog, go to my daughters dance show and have lunch with the in-laws!!!!
AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH! All with absolutely no help from DH as he will be working all weekend! I think I will start my nervous breakdown this evening with a large G and T! I suppose we will all manage to get it done in time! Good luck to all the busy women out there!

Why do the vacations always have to start out for us that way? I was helping my husband pack until midnight last night, after I was packing the kids and I the night before until 3 am! And still more to do! Tomorrow is beauty day and babysitter!

Well, just spent the day shopping - having lots of trouble with footwear...

Helen, I feel your pain...things have taken a very similar route in this household over the last few days, however not long til we're in another world completely and can let out a big sigh of relief.................

Have finally got my FE sorted, dd looking forward to delivering. Are there any set days to deliver or just when you feel like it?!

Off to figure out how all of the clothes and shoes we've all set out to take will possibly fit in our luggage

I am glad it isn't just me then!!! All the ironing done now - phew, just a few last bits of the FE gifts. However, I am hiding them under the bed at the moment - Otherhalf will 'freak' if he sees quite how much there is!!!

Sorry to say it makes me feel better that I'm not alone....
I had to help my husband pack tonight (after packing for the rest of us all day while my son had a friend over for a playdate)...I still have to pack my carryon, mend a dress I was intending to pack, and figure out what the heck i'm going to do about my FE gifts, as they are not done due to the fact that my daughter discovered them mid-assembly and covered some with stickers. And then spilled juice on the rest. Not good.

Mine will be the pitiful ones...

Plan B, anyone?

we were thinking that we (unintentionally) booked Palo for the night of Semi Formal...and we're wrong. Whew. I'm happy about that, the Hubs is gonna have to be really tidy and not get anything on his dress shirt so he can wear it for Palo, too, as the bags are full!!!

If you happen to see a party of 3 - mum, dad and 12 year old dd struggling with luggage, dad looking harassed, mum keeping an eye on dd as she's bound to be glued to iPod or phone not paying particular attention to what's going on around her...and a mixture of Scottish and English accents - that's us! Safe travels to all over the next few days...see you all soon

Is anyone still interested in doing a half days yacht excursion in Malta ?

...I am still currently exploring the possiblility of hiring the yacht suggested by Kate's yacht's friend (does that make sense ?) but in order to have a decent time at the Blue Lagoon this would involve us coming back to Valletta by sea plane (from Mgarr on Gozo, which is close to the Blue Lagoon)..........which would be a fabulous experience and VERY convenient since its jetty is right by the cruise ship dock.....however this would add to the overall cost.

So far the prices quoted are :

YACHT-(leaving at 12.30 from Manoel near Valletta)
E400 (total for everyone)

SEA PLANE (photo ID or Passport required) - one way
E50 pp for adults
E38 per child up to and including 11years old.

We would be back in Valletta at 5pm.

The yacht is available, but I have not had confirmation on the logistics as yet. Plus the sea plane holds a maximum of 14 people and I am awaiting confirmation on availability on that too.

Don't know if I am trying to be a bit too ambitious !

However, if anyone is interested please let me know ASAP - even if there is only one other family it would probably be doable price wise for us.

Almost finished packing. One set of scales has us as 4 kg over our limit and one set has us about 3kg under. Obviously EVERYTHING we are taking is essential for the perfect cruise I just hope the lower value is the correct one or we are going to have to leave the baby behind!

You are all so good!!! My stuff is laid out ready to pack, although I have got the suitcases out, it is nowhere near in them!!
