July 2010 Big Bdays Family Reunion (Update 9/28 Final Thoughts)

I get updates about the parks still even though I am not going to be there for a while.

Tonight I packed our snacks for the way down to Disney. I went to the $ store and got the Disney Princess Ziploc bags and the Princess and Tinkerbell brown paper bags.

I also packed most of our toiletries ... need to buy diapers for the trip -- told DH to get Huggies since they are the Disney ones!! Normally we just get store brand, unless the Huggies are on sale.

Oh, I saw Toy Story 3 today -- loved, loved, loved it!! And yes, I cried 3 times ... and not just a quick cry either!

I used to never cry but definitely cry more when it's about the kids growing up. Since your kids are much closer to leaving the nest, you will be a wreck!!

4 days!? Oh my goodness, where does the time go Marsha? I remember thinking July was gonna be so far away when I was reading your PTR last winter!

I know. I swear the last month just picks up so much more speed. My family (parents, sister, BIL and their two boys) are all staying at my place tonight. My parents came in town on Tuesday so I could get more packing done. They were a lifesaver!

Then my family leaves tomorrow morning and we leave tomorrow night as soon as Jerry gets home from work and does his final packing!

So it's like 80 degrees in our house b/c the A/C just won't/can't keep us cool with this intense heat.

And DH just put on pants and a sweatshirt and said he needs to go lie down b/c he isn't feeling well.



NOOOOOoooooooooo ... doesn't he know that no one is allowed to get sick the day before our trip!

Do you have central air?

Ours did that last night...it was like 86 here

Steve came home from work and changed filter and changed fuses. APparently they had blown.

Tell him to check the fuses. As soon as Steve did that, ice cold air came out

Thanks all for the send-offs!!

DH is feeling better but this AM I found a 5" crack in our windshield.

So we HAD to get it done today and found a place about 45 minutes away that had it in stock but couldn't take us until after 3pm.

Then DH had to let the window sit for 1/2 hour and we aren't supposed to do long distance driving until closer to 8pm.

UGH.

At least it didn't happen tonight or tomorrow!! Praise God!

My Sister called me to say that my BIL left his cell phone on top of their van and yep, it got run over on the road. (they left 9am this AM to get there sooner).

So with this rocky start, I'm wondering what all the casulties (sp) will be with this trip....

Should make a funny Trip Report!!

OK, off to nurse Elie and then we hit the road!
