July 2, 2005 - WE ARE THERE!!!

Goodness! I couldn't find this thread...so glad it popped up again! I'm figured it will be best to continue it on the cruise meets board, so I'll jump over there and find the link. I am researching lots of information on the ports of call and other logistics, so I will be sure to share it.
I am SO excited about the West Coast!

Someone mentioned you had a good website to visit. I can't find it...Help! Would love to know more from a professional cruiser. I was so glad Calif was getting the Magic for the summer. I am afraid of flying. Now all I have to do is drive to the port! I am so glad DCL will be our first cruise!

Pippiglet - don't want to figure out the math from your countdown :p - are you cruising with us on July 2nd? Are we 300 days away already?

Let's keep this thread going - there must be others out there - - - -

I am on the June 11 05 Mexican Riviera. Just like to read everyones post!:wave2:

Just thought I'd give this post a little bump!

I was trying to put the CA cruise on my countdown timer.........and have successfully deleted ALL of my timer!

How many days are there?

I know we're getting close to our 10/23/04 cruise!!!!!

But, the CA cruise is what we're really excited about!

Hey, I'm Minniemart's DD. She posted on the other thread for this but hasn't posted on this yet... Going on the cruise is my mom, dad, sister (19), and me (16)

tchrmom- the countdown is, I think, 295 days. I have the countdown in my sig, but for us we are leaving June 28th to go to DL first. Can't wait!

Anyone else from the Disboard joining us? Curious what everyone else's plans are.

I'll be on the Aug 6 cruise and I have a friend on this July 2nd cruise! She thinks there will be some type of 4th of July celebration...does DCL ever do anything special on July 4th? I'm sure the ship will be in Mexico by the 4th...she was hoping there would be fireworks?! But for safety reasons, I told her there probably wouldn't be any. Has anyone ever sailed on the 4th of July?

My family sailed on the 4th in '01 and there weren't any fireworks (for the safety reasons) but they did have a deck party!
9 months from Saturday!

Hi Laura - Thanks for the info. I will pass it on to my friend and her DH. Nice pic of Orlando!!

PAGE 4!

This will never do!!!!!!!!

We're getting close to our October cruise! Once we get back, I can start worrying about how to pay THIS one off!::yes::

Well, add me to the List! This should be a great cruise! I look forward to getting to know you all between now and then... :wave2:

Hi Legal briefs and welcome abroad.

Are you on the May 2005 cruise and July 2, 2005 cruise? Welcome anyway. Where is everyone? No e-mails when someone posts here.

I would like to know where is everyone? Anyone else cruising with us? Has anyone made any plans? Could it be that there are not many dissers on board?

I guess it is time to start thinking about this cruise. Disneyland portion has to be paid in December. We ( Tchrmom and I ) have not started looking at flights or transportation yet.:confused:

Have a good weekend

Dave

Hi Dave and Techrmom -

We have already booked and paid for our travel arrangements (including Wendy and her parents). We are flying in the day before and staying at the Holiday Inn. We have also reserved three nights at the Fairfield Inn (after cruise of course). Will need to decide transportation/transfer/rental car issues a bit later on. We had our routine down from FL - but this is all new to us. Happy planning and fill us in.

Living in Florida makes it very easy for us to leave out of PC. We are staying at Paridise Pier for 3 days prior to the cruise. I need to figure out the best way to get from airport to DL and from DL to the port and back to airport after the cruise. I sure will miss our 2 hr and 30 min drive home after the cruise. I hope that we hear something on excurisions so that can also get planned out.

Dave
