This is what we ate during our stay. We had breakfast in 2 mornings, and lunch in 1 day. Also, we had lunch in the cabana once. The other days, we snacked in the parks for lunch. It was too hot to really get hungry during the day.
July 17th, Thurs.
Margarittaville @ 7pm w/ reservations (still a 15 min. wait)
DH and I,
Conch Fritters (shared) $7.25
Bahamian Conch Chowder (1 each) $3.75 ea.
DS,
Bah. Conch Chowder $3.75
House Salad $2.95
Niece,
Kid's Chicken Fingers (They had no problem with her ordering this even though she is 15.) $5.95
Total $29.19
We really weren't very hungry, due to the heat. It's a good thing!
The Conch Fritters were very good, and my son enjoyed his salad (you can't really mess up a house salad
) My niece's meal was what you'd expect for Chicken Fingers. However, all who had the Conch Chowder thought it tasted like vegetable soup out of a can w/ uneven spices added. It was horrible! The atmosphere was fun, but we probably won't try it again.
July 18th, Fri.
The Sunset Grill (walked in @ 9pm)
DH - Fish & Chips $15.95
Me - Shrimp Fettucine $16.95
DS & niece - kid's buffet 2@ $8.95 ea.
Total $61.29
We had planned to order from the Beach Club and eat in the Cabana for the Dive-in movie. Due to rain, our plans had to change.
Again they had no problem with my niece ordering the kid's buffet. Both kids were very satisfied. My DH wished he could have gotten the buffet also.
Both my DH and myself, thought our food was typical, but good. The fettucine was more than enough for 2 people. No complaints on this meal.
July 19th, Sat.
Mythos @ 9pm w/ reservations (no wait)
DH @ DS - Grilled Chicken Clubs
Me - Cedar Planked Salmon w/ cheddar potato tart
Niece - Shrimp and Penne Alfredo
Total w/AAA discount $56.65 (sorry no individual breakdown)
We originally had a reservation for 7 pm, but since we weren't hungry that early Thur. night, we rescheduled for 9 pm. This was a great time for dinner. Just as we finished, we were able to go outside the restaurant and view the fireworks with a perfect view. The best part of this restaurant is the ambiance. The decor is enchanting. We took alot of pictures here. The food was also very good. The bread they deliver to your table is delicious. My DH & DS enjoyed there Clubs very much and thought the fries were great. My niece's pasta was also very good. My Salmon was wonderful. I found it a nice touch that they deliver it still on the plank. The asparagus was good, but the cheddar potato tart was not good at all. It was the only thing we had that wasn't excellent. Unfortunately, we had an ice cream a couple hours before dinner, so we had no room for dessert.
I really wanted to try the Cheesecake Roll-Up. No worry, we will be returning and saving room for dessert this time.
