Hi Everyone....we are packing up today ...we leave for the airport at 4 am tommorow morning and will arrive at LAX around noon tomorrow. We have done our online check in with DCL. Hopefully we will remember everything! We are planning on meeting everyone on Friday at Downtown Disney. We are taking our laptop so we will keep checking the boards....Hope everyone has safe travels and hope everyone gets well!!! Can't wait to meet you guys! My girls are so exicted about Disneyland!!!

Well, DD officially has a mild pneumonia, however, her doctor says she will be OK for the cruise. Now DH is sick too, & also on antibiotics. I am determined to not get sick myself! Despite the pneumonia, she seems quite happy and acts pretty normally. I keep telling her she has to get better to sail with Mickey! See you all in 8 days!

Sounds like DD and DH are on the mend since they're both on antibiotics. I hope they continue to get better with each day.

Thanks again to everyone for the pixie dust- it seems to be working! Today is the first day DD didn't have a fever. DH seems to be feeling better too. Started rounding up all of our stuff to pack today. I still have to finish mine and DH's pirate costumes. To all of you flying in from other parts of the country, it is VERY HOT in Southern California right now! See you all in less than one week!

I wish we were going to DL before the cruise so we could meet up with everyone. Oh well. At least we'll meet everyone at the meetup on debarkation day!

My husband is a big Texas Hold-em player along with the husband of the other family traveling with us. He is bringing his poker chips for some reason (I told him to leave them at home). He is a pretty avid player (unfortunately ), and has his own clay chips in an aluminum case. Are there any hubbies (or ladies) that are like to play Texas Hold-em? They usually play $5 to $10 buyins for tournaments, or can play cash games. I told him I'd ask because I was "sure" no one would want to waste their time playing poker.

So we just went online to see the reservation for and the stateroom number has changed. So I don't know what stateroom we will be in. My dad knows but didn't tell me. Just a heads up that I could not be in the room I listed

My husband loves to play poker! He is actually hosting a poker party at his office the Friday evening before we leave for CA. (He already had it on the calendar when we decided to do this cruise a few weeks ago!) So, if he sees anyone with poker chips he would probably love to play.

Sounds like you might have been visited by the Upgrade Fairy! Your new cabin number might be on the luggage tags that came with your cruise documents, too.

My DH loves to play Texas hold em. He also has his own chips. In fact, we have a semi regular game. Let me know if your DH wants to play. Maybe the two of them can get a game together.

Hello All!!


Well, I finally got around to making my fish extenders. I just had to share. And since I have my sewing machine out, I'll be hemming DH's pants for the cruise. As if I have nothing else to do.......like pack!! I have the girls' clothes all laid out, just need to iron and pack. Had to go shopping yesterday for a few last minute items. Wow, time is running short. I can't stop thinking about what I need to do before we leave. I found the soft sided cooler we got on our last DCL to Mexico. I'll put a six pack of waters in that for FIL to drink while in the ports. Tequilla and wine are ready to be loaded. Happy hour here we come!! I'm looking forward to ordering room service and having a glass of wine while getting ready for the evening.

Anyway-hope everyone is doing well, whether traveling to CA, recovering from a virus or hovering over the packing list!!

Hello All!!
Well, I finally got around to making my fish extenders. I just had to share.

Rene', your FE looks AWESOME! Great job!!! The stripes at the top of the pockets are a really nice touch! I can hardly wait until it's time to tuck some little surprises in it! I am always so envious of the homemade FEs! At least this time I've moved a step up from my last cruise's tiny Dollar Store nautical bag... all I did this time was draw a lime green Mickey head onto a white canvas bag with a highlighter and then outlined it with a sharpie. It's definitely not very cute or fancy, but at least it should work. One of these days I'll get brave enough to attempt to sew a real FE!

Hi Deb,
You're so kind. They are really nothing special. I was thinking I was going to go with a paper bag. Then I got a burst of motivation and went with it. I thought about personalizing them, but then decided to just be done with them. On to hemming pants and ironing for the girls.

At dinner we were just talking about room service. The girls will get a kick out of eating in the room. I just want a cup of coffee while still in my jammies. I can't wait!!

I ordered some candy for the kids from an online candy store. It arrived today but 2 of my items are missing. I will have to call tomorrow and see if they will overnight it to me since they screwed up! Just what I need right now!!!
