July 10, 2011--DIS PEEPS reunite on the Disney Dream!

just something I noticed: if you travel June/July 2012 on the Fantasy and want a suite,

cat.1 2 adults/2 children $28k :scared1:
cat.3 2 adults/2 children $11-14k. :headache:

The cat.1 is TWICE the price??? Seems like the prices are getting a little wonky. $28k to go to St. Thomas? The bushwackers weren't THAT good.

Ouch!!!!!!!! Agreed, that seems a little bit much!

Hi Soccermom-Cheri! Yes, we are planning to do the Dream then 2 nights at Disney then the Allure. All depends on our daughter's volleyball schedule and our son's summer school schedule with college. We won't know for sure until spring! We went on the Oasis last year and LOVED it! So glad there are other teens going!

I've seen a few photos of the Oasis. It looks fabulous. Did it feel crowded? I am wondering how sardine-like we will feel on the Dream. Never felt crowded on the Magic/Wonder except in the shops or Shutters. OK, and maybe at the shows and by the pools. If the ship seems too crowded we will find somewhere :rolleyes1 to play.:yay:

Nope didn't feel crowded at all. We like the bigger boats. We have sailed on the Freedom and the Independence and loved them before the Oasis. We like all of the activities. Haven't sailed with Disney in a while. We did the Wonder 3 night and 4 night and the Magic 7 night when the kids were smaller but have been sailing Royal Caribbean since our youngest was about 7. Back to Disney to try the Dream though :)

:woohoo: Someone is in Papenburg and posted some pictures of my new boat:banana: The float out is tomorrow - Tom Morrow!!!

Some great pictures on that thread. She's beautiful and I can see my room!!! It's aft on deck six and no solid veranda railing after all! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Can't wait to be sitting out there, watching the wake with a cool drink in hand. :goodvibes

Anybody see the segment on Good Morning America today? I saw it on one of the other posts. They showed the aqua duck -- really can't wait. There were comments on how it seemed to move slow, but I'd rather it be slow so I can savour the ride. I wonder if we can take drinks with us while on the aqua duck? A little of the Adventurer's Club lingers - riding the "rapids" with drink in hand. Kangaloosh! Competition as to who spills the least!:lmao:

That would be most awesome!

Just watched the Good Morning America video.....can we go yet?;)

I watched it as well. I'm in for a Aqua Duck contest...me and my sippy cup :rolleyes1 - and friend RJ, who I promised to go with in a moment of insanity.

and yes: WE GO NOW!

RJ - have you seen the picture of the outside of our rooms? Heep beeg verandah. I see a few afternoon pre-dinna drinks out there.

Yes...go with me you must! But where are these veranda pics you speak of? I haven't seen them yet.

Okay kids, play Nice. You can share the big boat!:hippie:

If we have to stop the boat and turn it around just to deal with any bickering, I'm going to be quite upset. I'm sure everybody else will be too. Unless of course I am bribed with enough FAB's, then we'll all just let you fight it out in the kid's club.

Okay, how long until we sail?

Cheri, I think a sippy cup would be cheating. Those things don't spill. I was thinking more along the lines of a plastic martini glass for good competition!:cool1:

FAB?

Martini glass? hm... shallow, doesn't hold much... can I have one in each hand?:rotfl2:

DAAAAAD RJ's touching me!!!!!

I'm spoiled. I have a nice clear plastic martini glass that is about half the size of a margarita glass. It easily holds 4 shots +. leaving plenty of room to slosh around. I'm a clutz, so the size of the glass is for furniture/carpet protection. DW always looks at me strange when I try to use a regular martini glass - "Are you really expecting to drink more than half of that? Here let me get you a rubber matt and a towel before you sit down."

I also like anchovi or blue cheese stuffed olives.

Maybe we just use the refillable plastci beer steins?

I just saw where there is a fancy french cuisine restaurant onboard...Remy's. It's an additional cost to the cruise....like Palo.

But wth...$75 per person?? :confused3

Apparently it is supposed to be on par with Victoria and Albert's....I'm wondering???

sounds like froo-froo food. With all the new restaurants and Palo, will there be time to go fancy? I wonder if someone there will bring me a bowl of fresh whipped cream :woohoo:

and what is FAB?
