I finally have time to check in with everyone. We have had a busy couple of weeks. Our house just went on the market last week so we have had to get a lot done to it to get it ready. DH says he will never paint again...we will hire someone! (He always says that and then ends up painting anyway!) Who knows if the house will sell, so time will tell.

We have added another family to our cruise. Some friends of ours have made a reservation and it will be their first Disney cruise. Try not to scare them too much...I gave them this link so hopefully they'll check it out!

Well, I'm off to do laundry...no showings scheduled for today, so hopefully I'll get it all done.

can we just do a little? actually we are quite normal. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

Cheri...usually the people who claim they are normal, really are not, but don't worry, I won't judge you until at least I meet you. But then all bets are off! I just had to let all you warm weater states feel sorry for us here in New Hampshire...we woke up to SNOW this morning! I am done with this already. All our snow gear is put away, so the kids had to tough it out without their big jackets. Lets just say I am looking forward to Aruba in a week! Hope everyone else is a little warmer than we are!

Snow in April? It must be hard to think about packing for the sun when you are freezing.

As far as normal: a very wonderful red head gave me a plaque that hangs in my house: "as far as anyone knows, we are a normal family". Maybe I should wonder why everyone comments on it...

OK, I'd be FREAKING OUT right now if I was on the first Med cruise. It leaves next week and with all of the flight nightmares people are wondering if they will make it. Can you imagine? I might be tempted to take out a 2nd mortgage and charter a plane around the south pole! Me thinks Soccerdad might feel otherwise.

So we have 14 months before we cruise. I hope the time passes quickly.

well we have 9 more weeks of school + 8 weeks of summer that will fly by. But that's only a few months. On the other hand, we have a good long time to pay this sucker off

what a lazy, boring day. It's the calm before the storm. Slumber party for Cas's birthday. Ugh. Already had one complaint. One girl doesn't "wanna go out" for dinner. I would so slap one of my kids if they EVER said anything so selfish.

Hey there old DIS peeps! Just passin' thru.... My Med cruise thread head count is up to 5 now (including us). Two of them are UK peeps (one in England & one in Ireland) and then one is a UK peep living in FL now...so it's going to be a lot different. The other one is another DVC peep that also happens to live in Maryland...about an hour from me. We have a visiting peep from Venezuela who's on a diff. Med cruise but he's lonely on his thread with only 1 other peep so he visits us sometimes.

Did ya'll see where DCL just up & cancelled that 10-night 12/29/10 cruise this week? I guess it wasn't selling very well but some people had already booked non-refundable airfare!! And DCL isn't offering any compensation or sympathy to them! Makes me afraid to book ours too early when the time comes. When is it safe to book??? Makes me nervous!!

Yes Annie--I had several clients on that sailing and had to decide what they were going to do. The sailing wasn't filling up enough so they opted for back to back 5 night sailings. So sad for those who wanted the 10 night Southern Caribbean sailing.

You are all WAAAY to quiet, both here and on the FB page.

Cheri--really--so much drama for such young kids. Sigh...didn't their parents teach them any better?

I for one am looking forward to seeing all of you again. Cannot wait until next summer!

I would be furious if my sailing was cancelled. Can you imagine how mice a partially filled Magic would be? Maybe we could actually swim in the pools.....

As for drama, not only did the girls not want to go out to dinner but they thought the start time for the party was dumb and where are all the decorations??? I told Cas that if I EVER heard of her making EVEN ONE comment on someone else's plans, life as she knows it would be OVER. --- By the way, the girls had a fabulous time at dinner.

If this thread doesn't start picking up steam I may have to do something drastic: tell bad jokes or do the movie quote thing...
