Juliana has moved on...

I got an email yesterday saying that Juliana was no longer going to be our WC and that she has moved to another area of DFTW. I'm a little nervous about this...actually a lot nervous, I had a hard time sleeping last night. We've yet to be assigned a new WC but were told that Michelle Munich will be helping us in the mean time. Ugh...I know it will be fine but there was so much we discussed and I'm sick thinking about the potential for things to go wrong now. I know that this has happened to some of you in the past...how did it all turn out in the end?? I really am frightened that everything is going to end up a big mess.

Juliana wasnt my WC but she did stand in as mine at the wedding. She was WONDERFUL-- and so sweet and cute. I really hate that she wont be working your wedding. Im sure another great WC will come along though and fill her shoes. GL!!

I know how you feel! I got that same email and now I am pretty worried too! I am very anxious to get my new coordinator so that I can discuss everything with her and make sure it is still all the same as I discussed with Juliana. I am very dissappointed that she is moving on also because I felt so comfortable talking with her on the phone and she really did seem so sweet. My advice is to just talk with your new coordinator and let her know your concerned and I'm sure she will go over everything with you to make sure everything is okay. Thats what i'm going to do!

Thanks...I just can't wait to speak with my new WC. Juliana was supposed to be getting my BEO to me soon so I'm curious what's going to happen with that...ugh.

Juliana is my WC but i haven't had an email from her yet, did it say when she is leaving? my wedding is in 8 weeks time so im hoping she will still be there for mine and thats why i've not had the email.
I know how you feel i will be really nervous about changing now that i have arranged everything with Juliana, but im sure all the WC's are lovely and it will just be a case of going through the details again with someone new, once you have done that im sure it will put your mind at rest.

The email I received 7/25:

As of today, I will be taking a different role within the Fairy Tale Weddings department. I will no longer be working during regular office hours, with that, a new Wedding Planner will be assigned to you, taking on my current responsibilities. All of your information, including all emails and special requests have been documented in your wedding file. Our Escape Weddings team is here to help make your wedding day a wonderful experience.

In the meantime, your contact will be Michelle Munich. She will be overseeing your Wedding Plans in case you have any questions or need any modifications and will also support your new planner - therefore eliminating any confusion during the transition. Michelle will be in the office on TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAYS to answer any questions that you may have.

I would assume those with weddings coming up she will continue to work on? I'm really not sure how all of that works but I'm sure she wouldn't just hang you out to dry. I really liked her and will miss chatting it up with her.

cheer up Diane you're such a friendly sweetie and the Wedding Team sounds like they are on top of everything. from most of the reports I've read here, all the brides and to-be's seem very happy with their WC's.. sending some to you! have a great weekend, I know you're looking forward to seeing the little ones again

We have Juliana as well. Our wedding is October 29th, and we haven't gotten anything about a change yet either, so I'm guessing we're in the group of weddings that she will be finishing up as she moves on.

I imagine we'll find out soon though. We haven't done a lot of our planning yet, and we were going to start working on a few things this weekend, so we'll probably be sending a few e-mails with some questions next week.

As for me, though, I'm just not going to worry about it too much. Unless we get someone who is completely unhelpful at all, I'm sure whoever handles things will do just fine.

We had Juliana and she was great really sweet girl I'm sure you will all be in really safe hands with whoever you get though. Before we where assigned Juliana we had 3 others and they all kept changing.

I heard that Amy Riendeau is now a planner she picked up the pieces of ours after one of the other WC and she was fantastic too I really liked her.

Everything will go fine on your happy day I am sure!

I got that e-mail as well. I am concerned about this as like you everything has been discussed with her and I had confidence in her. I am sure that all of the other WC are great but I have built up a relationship with her. I think she should not have been assigned any new weddings and told to finish off all of the old ones that she had already started. I know it is not her fault and I wish her the best of luck in everything she does, but I am just really worried as it doesn't actually say when we will be assigned a new coordinator, Michelle has already answered one of my e-mails which is great, but when we will be assigned a new coordinator. Argggghhhhhhhh

We were switched from Jennifer to Kathleen for the SAME reason.

I think it will be fine. ALL of the Disney staff know what they're doing and are striving for smooth transitions.

When I first heard it, I did have a little trepidation.

It will be ok....take one day at a time and HAVE FAITH!!!

Well I didn't receive "the email" so assumed all was fine. It wasn't. I emailed her with questions a couple of days ago and got a reply back saying she has moved on and to contact Michelle Munich. I was trying to email Michelle but it got returned...I then get an email from Karen Serette....kind of answering my questions. It was obvious she hadn't read my contract because part of her answer didn't apply to me at all!

Probably not going to be an issue but is an added stress I would rather not deal with right now.

With less than two weeks until you wedding, I know know I'd be a little freaked. I wonder why you didn't get the email? It certainly would've been a nice thing to know! At any rate, I talked to Michelle yesterday and she was very sweet so you should try giving her a call. She sounds like she really has things under control there...I hope they're paying her well, lol!

I would recommend scheduling a meeting with your new planner and walking through your day. Make a list of the important things that you can not live without those going "perfect". DFTW is usually really good at turnover, I had a change in planners as well and it worked out fine once we talked and went over the changes one other time.

I had Juliana as well and got switched over to someone new (can't remember her name now).. she called me last week and we went over everything and I feel like I'm in good hands... I am getting married in a little over three weeks.

I have complete trust in disney and honestly, I just want to be married to my sweetheart.. even if the ceremony went terribly and it rained and my dress got a stain on it... as long as I get married to the man I love, I'll be happy.

I got switched over to Michelle too. However, I am having an Intimate/Escape wedding and Juliana was never really too much help to me. She NEVER contacted me to introduce herself and I just randomly got an email from her giving me all the information about my disney wedding.

So I wasn't too pleased with her. However, Michelle hasn't contacted me either or anything... so we'll see if anything interesting happens or not!

I haven't got anyone permanant yet either but Michelle said sh'ell get my BEO out to me next week...I guess we'll see...
