I wasn't going to put a PJ on the DIS but but but... here I am. There are still two years until our wedding and right now, nothing is settled but our colors.
The short version of who we are goes like this:
My name is Juli and I'm 34 years old (gulp) and this will be my second wedding. I have two gorgeous, brilliant little boys-- Andy (6) and Joey (4). My fiance is Wayne, and he is also 34 and this will also be his second wedding. Wayne was actually born eight months to the day after me. He has two adorable kids-- a daughter named Lexi (6) and a son, Nathan (3).
I am currently a stay-at-home mom but I'm job searching (fruitlessly so far) and hoping to re-start my pre-child career. I have a Communications degree from Northwestern University, just outside Chicago. I scrapbook and craft. I love college football even though my team is never on the polls. I've been a Disney nut all of my life. My first trip to WDW was in 1979. I am a Disney stockholder.
Wayne is a technological smartypants. He works for the Commonwealth of PA doing something in IT that I don't quite understand. He lives and breathes football especially the Atlanta Falcons. We have a pair of season tickets. In Atlanta. We live in Pennsylvania. He is the best person I've ever known and an amazing father. Not only to his own children, but to mine as well.
We got engaged on a surprise stopover in Orlando on our way to a football game in Atlanta on September 17th.
I think I've settled on a color/theme/approach but with so much time, I can't guarantee that any of this is final. That said, with this wedding being a blending of families, I want to keep all of the kids involved. I think the both of us will walk down the aisle with our children and the sand ceremony will be the six of us. We want this to be a very Disney wedding, a Mickey Mouse affair if you will. Our approach will be very light-hearted, whimisical and vaguely retro. Red and white polka dots. A little black here and there. Red roses.
Here's an inspiration board I put together from stuff I've collected around the web. I'm sure some pictures will be recognized!
