I’m planning a trip for a year from now, so you could probably call the planning just dreaming at this point. The last time we went our son was younger and wanted to do as much character dining as possible. We realized after that trip that our favorite table service meal was the one that was not a buffet, so we want to try different restaurants this time. We are relatively adventurous, but DH is diabetic, and I try to limit fried foods and things that are too spicy (my mouth likes it, my stomach does not). The kid will eat almost anything.

Table Service we’ve eaten at:
BOG breakfast
Crystal Palace dinner
Akershus breakfast
Artist Point dinner
1900 Park Fair breakfast
Hollywood & Vine dinner

Our “Plans”:
Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast
Narcoossee’s dinner
Liberty Tree Tavern dinner
Hollywood Brown Derby lunch

If it opens back up:
Cinderella’s Royal Table breakfast on a MK day
‘Ohana dinner

No Epcot TS picked since we’ve never been during a festival, and we are currently booked to go during what will probably be Flower & Garden, so we figured we’d probably just eat around the festival.

No AK TS picked because I really want to try Satu’li Canteen.

Any restaurants you’d add/remove? Thoughts?

We are no help on breakfast as we are not TS breakfast people. The rest seem fine to us. We had a great surf and turf (filet and lobster) at Narcoossee's in October. My wife and I eat at LTT every trip at least once and we've had nothing but good meals at HBD.

I love dreaming of Disney dining. :-) Your plans look good. Snacking around the festival booths for meals in EPCOT is totally do-able and very fun. We like to also book a TS for our EPCOT day (knowing that we can cancel the night before) in case it's going to be a rainy day or super hot and we know we're going to want some air conditioning or if we think we're just going to want the opportunity to sit down for a meal. Topolino's (at the Riviera Resort, on the skyliner route) is my new favorite on-property restaurant. They currently do a distanced character breakfast and a signature dinner. It's pricey but really good. Have fun with your planning ... if you're anything like me you'll go through a number of iterations. And hopefully by this time next year much more will be open!

If you're looking for something off the beaten path, I recommend The Wave (we like lunch better than dinner) and Ale and Compass (lots of tempting breakfast choices; how can you go wrong with chocolate cherry waffles?). If you like coconut, don't miss the Raspberry Colada (non-alcoholic, I think at all 3 meals) at Grand Floridian Cafe; they also serve a combined breakfast/lunch menu for the first half of the day, which is nice. If Ohana is open, definitely don't miss it.

I just want to suggest Via Napoli in Epcot. Best Pizza at Disney. We actually ate there two nights in a row. Everyone was happy.

Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast- We have only done lunch or dinner but have been happy both times.
Narcoossee’s dinner- LOVED it. The service was impeccable and the food was perfect
Liberty Tree Tavern dinner- we like this one but the service was mediocre and our food was room temperature. That being said- we do plan to return.
Hollywood Brown Derby lunch- We were not fans for the price point.

If it opens back up:
Cinderella’s Royal Table breakfast on a MK day- Never did breakfast but loved for dinner
‘Ohana dinner - This was always a must do for us but in recent years the services was so bad we decided to skip last trip. We have always felt very rushed and the portions are so small you have to keep requesting dishes- which would take FOREVER

Suggestions: Kona breakfast is a favorite or ours. We also love Via Napoli.

Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast :
We usually skip sit down breakfasts at WDW. We get a lot done during RD and don't like to miss that time with breakfast. We usually get donuts for the kids at the resort before heading to the parks. When we do get breakfast, we try to eat at a park, and get the latest reservation possible (almost an early lunch) so that we can get more done in the morning.

Narcoossee’s dinner:
We've never been, but it has been on our list for a long time.

Liberty Tree Tavern dinner:
We really like this place. It's probably our favorite sit down restaurant in MK.

Hollywood Brown Derby lunch:
We like the Kobe beef steaks here, but they are pricey and maybe too heavy for lunch. We really like Sci-Fi Dine In. It is one of the best themed places in WDW.

Cinderella’s Royal Table breakfast on a MK day:
We've only done lunch and dinner there. It might have been the same menu for both, and lunch was way too heavy for us. Even thought the food is good, this is the kind of place that you are paying mostly for the experience of eating in the castle.

‘Ohana dinner
This is one of the few places that we've done breakfast and it was great. We did it on a rest day. We've done dinner here as well, and as hard as I try, I can't remember the food. It is very popular though.

Looks great to me. I would not disagree with a single choice.

Such great tips! Thank you! I never thought about booking an Epcot restaurant in case it’s raining or extremely hot that day. I’m leaning towards Chefs de France. DH wants that over Italian.

Our Grand Floridian Cafe breakfast would be on the day we fly home. We usually head to the airport around noon, so we don’t do a park that day and instead just soak in the last moments of being at the resort.

I’m hoping the CRT breakfast can be a PPO one if they start doing that again.

Kona is my backup if ’Ohana doesn’t open back up.

I was thinking Hollywood Brown Derby would be a late lunch that would serve as kinda lunch and dinner, then we’d probably just snack in the evening. Maybe hit up the Enchanted Rose that evening for truffle fries. I’ll admit, HS is not my favorite park. After Galaxy’s Edge and the Beauty and the Beast show, I was kinda done that day last time (I know...it’s an unpopular opinion. I’m weird.).

Not unpopular to me although I do like the Muppets. My least favorite park too but Frozen is the BEST!! The Cobb Salad at Brown Derby is delicious! And Enchanted Rose = perfect. Have fun.

Just saying. . .
You are not weird and entitled to your opinion.
Thank you! Magic Kingdom is my happy place, followed closely by Epcot. I‘ve never been to Animal Kingdom, so I’m looking forward to going there this time. I really hope they’ll be open later so I can see Pandora at night. I also really want to try a cheeseburger pod.

MK is my happy place, too. DD and I really enjoy AK and maybe you will want to add it to your happy place list after your visit. :earsboy: You may not be a soda person. But if you are or just want to "splurge" one day, Satu’li Canteen has soda fountains where you can get a refill in the dining area. I like getting my money's worth.

Off topic, but one thing we like to do at AK is walk on the paths by the Tree of Life and look at the carvings.

Have fun dreaming and planning!

I may be the only person who was not impressed with LTT. Maybe we just had a bad day? But we were not impressed.

I honestly just really want Thanksgiving dinner, especially dressing. Even if it’s mass produced, I just love dressing. What was it that you didn’t like about it?

I definitely think you should try to get in to Ohana for supper. We loved Trattoria al Forno on Boardwalk for breakfast! Delish!

Liberty Tree Tavern is one of our favorites, always a must do for us. We didn't care for Ohana - the meal was rushed, the fare wasn't our favorite, and it was quite noisy and chaotic with kids' activities and food runners all over. That was all pre-pandemic, so who knows what changes will be made when it re-opens but its not a place we're running back to. Hollywood Brown Derby is fine, but we always opt for 50s Prime Time or Sci Fi Dine In at DHS. I think Sci Fi and 50s PT are two of the most uniquely themed restaurants on property, although HBD probably has a more refined menu.

We usually visit Epcot during Food & Wine Festival and will "snack around the world" sharing each order. But, for us, the portions aren't *that* large and the cost starts to add up after a while. It can also take up a good chunk of the day waiting in the food lines and standing off to the side to eat each thing. So, we always pick a couple snacks to try and still do a TS dinner at Epcot later on in the day. Biergarten is one of our favorites, and we always enjoy Teppan Edo. There's so many good and unique TS options in Epcot, I think it's a miss if you don't take advantage of it.

We love Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club. The food is simple, but its consistently good and the desserts are the main draw. We also love the Beach Club, so we use it as an excuse to spend some time walking around enjoying the atmosphere. Its also an easy walk to the Boardwalk and Skyliner from there, if you wanted to make an evening out of it.

Will you be spending any time at Disney Springs? Who knows what things will look like in a year, but on our October trip, we spent more time at Disney Springs than ever due to the limited park hours. We spent four evenings there and had four TS meals. Even if you only visit DS for one evening, there's tons of a great TS restaurants there to choose from. The Boathouse, Homecomin', and Wolfgang Puck are just a few of our favorites that come to mind first.
