Journal/Autograph books

Did I miss a thread somewhere? i've peeked and peeked...

Does anyone know how to handmake a journal and/or autograph book.

I've never made a homemade journal, but have scrapbooked.

I'd like to make my 8yo a cruise journal, day to day things she can add in it, also my niece, who's never been to disney or a cruise. I'd like to give it to them for Christmas.

I have loads of scrapping paper, but unsure how to make the sheets hard enough, so the paper doesn't flop around and it's strong enough to take a beating when gluing and writing things ....

Can someone please help me or direct me to a link!

Did you look through the 4shared and photobucket folders those wonderful designers have over on the Creative DISigns board? They have some fabulous journal pages! I believe there is also a sticky with a How To for journals/aurograph books.

If it were me, I'd print the pages on cardstock and put it in a scrapbook or 3-ring binder Give the girls a pensil pouch with a few gel pens in different colors, a couple glue sticks and scissors. That way they can put their "souveniers" in their books right away!
