Jost Van Dyke

I'm wondering if anyone has gone to Jost Van Dyke through Disney Cruise excursions as of late. I see on NCL, they use BVI Tour Center to get to shore and this boat goes right up to the beach and I'm wondering if Disney uses the same company. The boat online and on YouTube looks amazing and the passengers had nothing but positive reviews for this company. Any feedback would be appreciated. We leave for our adventure in a few weeks Thanks

Well, we went to Jost Van Dyke Island through Disney. We took a ferry over to the island and then jumped onto taxi's to get there. This was a very short ride. They beach itself is absolutely beautiful. My kids ages 8 and 4 didn't want to leave. They provided us with lunch and a drink which I have to say, the lunch was pretty good. it consisted of a salad, native rice and BBQ. After dinner I had to try a Painkiller and wow, were they good....$5. The only part about the excursion was that we weren't there very long. The Ferry took 40 minutes, the taxi ride took about 10 and we spent a total of 3 hours on the Island because it was all aboard the taxi's by 1:30. But other then that, if we ever go back, Jost Van Dyke Island I would do all over again.

What beach do you go to? Can you point it out on a map? I'm not going to JVD unless I can spend quality time at Foxy's Tamarind or Ivan's Stress Free Bar.

We went to White Bay Beach on JVD Island where Soggy Dollar is. Foxy's is at the Harbor which is not too far from White Bay Beach. We actually Docked at the Harbor then took a taxi to get to WHite Bay Beach which was only 5 minutes away...10 minutes by the time the taxi left though.

Cool. Sounds like I would just tell the taxi to go on without me when we got to Great Harbour and just wait until everybody gets back to shuttle back. Or spend the night in JVD and catch a water taxi the next day to St. Thomas to meet back up with the boat if St. Thomas is the second stop of the cruise.
