First of all let me introduce you to the cast:
Me - Richard, 38 year old and the main organiser of the trip for our side of the family.
DW - Viv, 40ish and tends to let me make the plans and now agrees to 'finding WDW a enjoyable place to go' - such an understatement.
DS - Nathan (will be 6 during the trip - see later), his second visit and first to say ' I won't change my mind about going on tower of terror' - we'll see, I think it will be too scary for me.
Second family:
Al, Jules and their daughter Zara, who is in the same class at school as Nathan which is how we know them. They have never been to WDW before and are looking to us to show then around at first. They are planning on several day trips to Clearwater, Winter Park and they love shopping.
History of trip:
We went round to dinner with Al and Jules at the start of May 2009 and they were discussing going to WDW in 2010 having heard several people rave about it. I just dropped into the conversation that they were so luck going in 2010 as I had to wait until 2012 when I turn 40 to be 'allowed' back to the most magical place on earth. The conversation started to get more interesting and they suggested that we should come to - of which I was overjoyed. On the way home and over the next 24 hours, my DW told me to calm down as they were probably just being polite. Well after several emails and phone calls during the next few days the trip was booked for 14 nights from 2 July. Yippee result!

Details of trip:
Travel to Newcastle on 1 July staying at the Hilton in the center of town as I could get free rooms through their honours program. We propose to go out for a pizza on 1 July in Newcastle together.
Fly First Choice from Newcastle on 2 July at 9.15 am and get in at around 1.30 pm local time at SFB.
We are staying in a 5 Bed villa in Davenport which is about a 15 min drive to the world.
Return home on 16 July.
Draft timetable:
Arrive pm on 2 July, check in villa after picking up ultimate tickets at DTD. Should be at villa by 4pm (that is the earlies we can check in).
See what food is in villa and make a stop at either Publix or Walmart.
Now here's the issue, am I cheeky enough to leave the others to the food shopping and take my DS to DHS which is open to 10pm that night and ride ToT, RnRC?
Silly question, of course I am, don't want to miss valuable park time!
Day 2 - get to DHS for rope drop and FP then ride TSM, followed by the usual shows and ToT. DS loves the HSM show which I must say is very good
Day 3 - July 4. People warn you to steer clear of the parks on this day - so a waterpark it is for a few hours with DS.
A bit of a common theme coming through here - me and DS do what we want and the other, well to be discussed.
Day 4 - MK - the other family have lunch ressie for cindies at 12.30 so we will all go together today.
Day 5 - AL for rope drop and EE for the boys and DW? Then return to the villa for a bite to eat and Cirque de Soleil in the evening - never done it before so should be good.
All other days are very sketchy at the moment except for ADRs at Ragland Road, TRex and Chef Mickeys for DS 6th birthday dinner.
We also have tickets for Seaworld and Aquatica, can't wait to go on the new coaster in Seaworld.
Can't wait for:
TSM
ToT (must get ride photo)
HSM show, for DS?
All three mountains at MK
Buzz
EE
Kali rapids
Not looking forward to:
Shopping
Except I want to pick up the ToT edition of Cluedo in the parks
Coming home and going back to work
But - will be able to book 2012 trip before too long

ONLY 32 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!
