We are taking a side trip to Clearwater for a couple of days and was wondering if John's Pass is worth doing one evening? I went to their web site and parking seems to be an issue?? Any help is appreciated.

We spent a week in Madeira Beach in April and were able to walk to John's Pass, so we spent quite a bit of time there. We also drove a couple of nights and we didn't have a problem with parking. There's parking meters and also change machines so you can fill the meter. There's quite a few restaurants/bars there overlooking the water and more than enough souvenier, t-shirt, surf shop places. The kids loved it. The shops closed by 10 p.m., but the restaurants were open later.

We did a week at Madeira Beach a few years back and were able to walk to John's Pass each night for dinner/shopping so I'm no help on the parking thing. The twins were just 2 1/2 then, so we didn't see much "night life", but enjoyed the scenery and all the restaurants. I think it would be worth a trip.

It was our first trip to the beach with the kids and they were instantly hooked on the beach and the seafood... at 2! :rotfl2: Of course now they are totally Dis-kids :thumbsup2
