JOHNNY DEPP in the Christmas Parade!! I have a question.

I just read that Disney will be taping their Christmas parade Dec 1 & 2. I also saw that Johnny Depp will be in it.(!!!! !!!!) I can't remember, but does Disney do all the taping right there in the MK or do they tape at some other locations and put it into what we see on Christmas? As much as I hate to waste my day (or 2) watching the taping, I'd LOVE to see Johnny!

Is all the taping done at MK?

Can we watch it on TV? I've never been much of a parade watcher but I'd sure love to see Johnny Depp!

I haven't heard which all stars were going to be there. I know in previous years most of it is taped in MK, while some other parts were taped all over WDW. Annual passholders received a "casting call" for extras in their Mickey Monitor. I had friends do it last year, and they said it was grueling standing there that many hours. They had great Christmas hats and no shots taken of their section made the parade. However they said it was so awesome to see some of the stars in person in the parade.

A couple of years ago we were at MK on the day of the taping (did not know they would be taping). It was unbelievable!! The floats were gorgeous, and we saw Hilary Duff singing "Santa Claus Lane". If you want to be on TV, you need to be at the front near Tony's restaurant, but be prepared to get there early and not move! They do the taping in "shifts" and then run the entire parade supposedly at 3:30 or 4. The day we were there they moved the time back to 5, and we had 5:30 ADR's at LeCellier, so we did not get to see the entire parade until Christmas Day on TV. Be ready to be in a crowd!!!

I really wanted to go for all the Christmas decorations and parde. Also Dec 3 is our Anniversary, but till DH said no way. I'm planning for next year but Johnny Depp won't be in the parade next year.
