Tonights dinner

Oh, that looks delicious, especially for this type of weather, filling but not heavy. :thumbsup2

We did our first dinner out! C did well, I fed her before we went inside and she slept thru most of it! Lots of oohs and ahh's from fellow customers. Anyway it all went better than expected.

Yes she fussed as we were waiting for our bill. She isn't fond of the carseat and likes to mainly be held. I am happy though she slept in a loud environment. But I feel better about taking her out. Just takes lots of prep work.

Wonderful news!! :goodvibes

That's great!! Now you will want to take her all the time :)

DGD had a huge amount of hair when she was born. It was fun to see the little old ladies react to "ALL THAT HAIR". :thumbsup2

My kid had a bunch of hair as well and always wore it up in pigtails from day one. We were out to brunch one morning, she was maybe two weeks old and was wearing a blue dress with flowers and she had pigtails with little flower hair ties. An elderly couple came up and the lady ooh'd and ahh'd and said "Your little boy is so handsome!" I said "Aww thanks, but she's a little girl" the lady corrected me "He's wearing blue, he's a boy!" to which I corrected "SHE is wearing a blue DRESS because she has blue eyes and the dress is adorable! Look at the little flowers in her pigtails!" at this point the lady got straight up pissed off and mumbled as she walked away "These kids these days dressing little girls in blue, what's next? Boys in pink?!? Disgusting practices!" :rotfl2:

I'd definitely be one of those Oooh and Ahhers. It's all I can do to control myself from grabbing a baby for a quick snuggle. Only 13-20 more years until I'm a grandma (hopefully not before that!!!) Glad to hear that your first night out was a success. Just remember, I'm always available to babysit-nevermind the stranger aspect and the distance! :lmao:

A little loud environment is good. Gets her used to it, and sleep through it. Your becoming pro already.:goodvibes

Watched a program tonight that I've seen before but had forgotten about detailing how Dana Chandler killed her ex-husband and his new fiancé.

She lived in Denver, and they lived in Topeka. She did crazy, stalking type things like being found in the middle of the night in their back yard jumping on the trampoline laughing loudly.

She was convicted last year, but the murder took place in 2002. Interestingly, she purchased two gas cans to enable her to drive through without stopping anywhere for gas to avoid detection, and law enforcement was able to find records of that.

I sort of remember something about this... The jumping on the trampoline sounds familiar.
Wow.
How did she kill them? Perhaps Jodes was familiar with this as well....:sad2:

Fabulous!
It sure is a lot of work, but worth it. She will be totally used to going out with you soon (and you used to grabbing this and that).

Yes, a special day to remember Travis and not dwelling on the horrific way he was taken out of this world. Praying for his family! I'm sure today isn't easy for any of them.

My prayers are certainly with the Alexanders today. It must be heart breaking for them.
Safe travels home!!

She shot them to death (hid in the closet).

About a month before the murders, Mike had come home and found Dana drinking coffee in his kitchen. She told him that she thought that the kids were older and needed them to be parent together so she thought she should move back in with him. He asked her if she was crazy and told her that he was marrying Karen. They think that was when she realized she really wasn't going to get him back.

Along with the gas cans, she also had 27 hours of silence on her phone which was unheard of for her. Further, he told a friend that some day he was going to wake up and find out that Mike was dead, and he wanted him to know that Dana Chandler did it (all of this is sounding very familiar, isn't it??).

ETA: When I watched this last night, I did wonder whether JA was familiar with the case.

I get the roll-up kind also. You can pack a lot in those suckers!

How long has it been since you went to WDW?

I think 2 years.

You can take my spot in September since I probably can't go. Lucky for you, it is literally a gift trip as my mom has paid for everybody. :sad1:

Sorry you can't go.

Your not alone, I have only been 1 time.

The first time I went was with my Grandmother right after graduating college. Chokes me up when I ride the Snow White ride as we did that one. Then there was a stretch not too long ago where I went for about 4 years in a row.

Now that ticket prices have risen again , I may never get back. Just to expensive, not to mention flights.

Since she is now convicted, Jodi is in total lock down. She has no privlages what so ever. She can't even have commissary. She is trying make people think she is still tweeting through someone, but no phone either. Jodi's life is very miserable.

As it should be. There was one of those episodes of Power, Privilege and Justice where this son of a famous Hollywood personality killed his father for money and after his trial and conviction, lost practically all what would've been his inheritance on court costs, lawyers and back taxes.

Wow how Im loosing track of time.. some stupid reason with everyone talking about the anniversary of Travis's death Im thinking its still May.

Anywho.. dont think Ive seen this posted but from FB

A message from Steven Alexander:

June 4th will forever be a dark reminder of who has been ripped from our lives. June 4th will always be the day we stop and think this is the day Travis was murdered. You will think about all the horrible pain and suffering he went through. That day will always come.

I believe with every ounce of my being that June 4th will be an everyday reminder to her. A reminder of why she sees the inside of a cell for 23hrs a day. A reminder of what she did. All alone, every day, a living hell. Until she gets the ultimate freedom, the needle. I hope its many years before that happens.

Soon June 4th will be a day that we remember she is on death row. Watching the hour glass until the last grain of sand. I hope her last thought is of Travis and June 4th.

Until then we have to take a look at our loved ones and remind ourselves that tomorrow is a gift. It’s never too late to love them more. Hold them close. Cherish every moment. Remember tomorrow is a gift.

Justice for Travis Victor Alexander “The Great” has been delayed. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. We all will be standing behind Travis, my big brother. Moving forward, passing down his legacy. You were born to be great, you are special! That is your destiny! Except nothing less! A pebble has been thrown into the pond. We are the ripples. Thank you for your love, your stories, your support and your prayers. June 4th is Justice for Travis Day!

Today Arias' def. attorneys, Kirk Nurmi and Jennifer Willmott issued a joint statement in an exclusive to The Arizona Republic.

"If the diagnosis made by the State's psychologist is correct, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is seeking to impose the death penalty upon a mentally ill woman who has no prior criminal history," they wrote. "Despite Mr. Montgomery's recent statements to the media, it is not incumbent upon Ms. Arias' def. counsel to resolve this case. Instead, the choice to end this case sits squarely with Mr. Montgomery and his office.

"It is solely for them to determine if continuing to pursue a death sentence upon Ms. Arias, who is already facing a mandatory life sentence, is a good and proper use of taxpayer resources."

Mentally Ill, my ***!

I could either drive or fly there. But the other cost would be hotel as I tend to stay for a week. ;)

Even with a package it is still costly. We don't get paid vacation , so no pay even for 8 days. We now take vacations close to home.
