Bless you and may your precious one arrive safe n soon
YEAH!!!!!

Checking in from the hospital! Left about an hour ago. I started having intense pressure and it was different, so to speak. I am now getting checked out. 2-3cm dilated, -2 station. Nurse said I'm 'favorable.' Waiting to see my OB and or resident. Contractions are still very intermittent. Nothing has been consistent since this morning. If we have the option of inducing we will. Keep you posted.
GOOD LUCK!! Praying for a safe delivery for both of you!

:cheer2:

We're ready, hope you are too! :lmao:
LOL Yes we do!

mickeystoontown. Safe driving and have a great trip....lucky you

Catch you all tomorrow for what I hope us the last time we ll all have to see n hear from the convicted one. I'm sure they ll be some type of drama and I still think ANY attempt by her will be futile.
May the jury do what is necessary and believe that they are fair and just in their decision. Thanks to them for doing their duty and dealing with this difficult tragedy. It can't be easy for them either.
Prayers for Travis Alexander's family once again

Prayers indeed for both Piglet and the Alexander sibs. xoxoxo

I totally appreciate the support! Doc came in 10 min ago and we are being admitted! She will probably be born some time tomorrow. I will try and update.

Interesting. He seems like a fairly normal guy. But I don't think that anything he said would have helped Jodi if the jury IS inclined to give her the death penalty. He basically said that she started to change when she got involved in PPL and the Mormom Church. That's a pretty significant difference to her claims of being this abused, mistreated woman all her life. It sounds like she got from DB the relationship that she wanted, so they were happy together...until she realized it had plateaued. Then she got involved in PPL, met Travis, became obsessed with him and what he represented. I admit I'm biased against her and know a lot more than the jury supposedly does, but nothing he said gives me any indication that she was always sweet, innocent Jodi until Travis started "abusing" her. DB admitted her change began before she and Travis even started dating.

As I have said before, the standard for ineffective assistance of counsel is INCREDIBLY low. That's not going to happen.

So the skanky woman didn't show because she claimed she was intimidated? What's Brewer's excuse?

According to JVM he was there and ready. She saw him at the hotel he was staying at as it is the same one she is at. So it was a decision by DT, or more likely CM( convicted murderer).

She has to adjust her speech to the jury now because she was probably using stuff the both of them we supposed to say. Plus she loves dragging this out. She aint got no where else to go. She wants to be up there. She wants this to go on and on and on:stir:

Aw, nice birthday! Altho I was counting on you going a few more days to hit mine! :)
Wow. Interesting. I'll put it in the first post. I feel very much the way the following describes, except that I DO think that he MAY have helped her if he testified. I wonder if he'll still do it, or if the DT is determined to set up the "ineffective counsel" situation for appeal.

Another thing about what Darryl Brewer has to say. Her parents describe a very screwed up Jodi from YEARS ago, and Darryl describes a very NORMAL Jodi from when he was with her until her involvement with PPL, the Mormon Church, and Travis. So A) why was she so normal with him? Or was she? Maybe he was just the easy going guy who enabled her. And B) If he goes up there and describes a very normal Jodi, where's her defense about any mental health issues?

Just want to clarify that when Nurmi asked Jodi if she felt remorse, this was during her testimony back in February/March, not today.

Right, got that. And she definitely chose her words carefully.

I remember when the videos of Jodi's parents being questioned by police first came out, HLN commentators (I think mostly on Dr Drew) were talking about how uncaring her father seemed...saying that she was "odd", and that he didn't sound loving. But I bet Jodi was a tough person to love. And I say that as a parent who loves my kids with all my heart, and I'm sure her parents love her, but from the sounds of what she was like, she was detached and a problem kid. And she left home at 17, so that was 15 years ago, that there's been a distance from a kid they couldn't connect to anyway. I'm just not going to blame the parents for their relationship, or lack thereof, with Jodi.

I absolutely agree. I know somebody like this, and you cannot reason with them. They were that way as a teenager and are that way as an adult. Reality means nothing to them. Reality is what they say it is, and you'd better not dare to disagree because you're a villain if you do. The family of the person I know has really suffered over the years from trying to deal with them.

Another thing about the parents. I've also heard (primarily on Dr Drew) that they should have gotten Jodi help with her issues. A) At what point? I think it can be hard to determine when a child needs "help". And once Jodi became an adult, they couldn't force her to do anything. I don't think Jodi could be TOLD what to do. B) It bothers me, as it's portrayed on Dr Drew, that getting "help" leads to something of a cure...that she would have been "fixed" and all would've been right with the world. My sister, I suspect, has Borderline Personality Disorder. She spent YEARS in therapy with a quack, who supposedly ranked as one of the best in NY, but who later lost his license to practice (and for good reason). My sister would tell me things that he said that were so inappropriate (like, if HE cried about his own problems during a session, then she wouldn't have to pay...WTH??). AND, it wouldn't matter WHO she saw for therapy, she was a liar and a manipulator. If ever there was someone they'd want to manipulate, it would be the psychiatrist/psychologist. Does anyone (Dr Drew!!!) really think that Jodi Arias would have gone into therapy at any point, even before she killed Travis, and told the truth...how SHE was making terrible choices in her life, and NOT that she was everybody's victim? No way.

I agree. She was the problem, but she would never accept that.

Regarding Dr. Drew, did you see the segment right after they put her on suicide watch? It was made very plain that the sheriff had her put there due to her statements regarding wanting to die quickly and his responsibility for her safety. When Mark Eiglarsh made some statements about it, Dr. Drew was highly insulted regarding what he thought was disparaging remarks about the psychiatric personnel at the jail. It was ridiculous. "They" didn't make the decision to put her there. The judge did.

I think it's because she's a chameleon and becomes whatever she wants to be with whomever she's with. Plus, the fact that he was so much older than her leads me to believe that he saw what he wanted to see.

ETA: I just listened to that video. I think he believes what he's saying, but the fact that she has a history of "off" behavior prior to their relationship tells me that it didn't suddenly happen "after" he and Jodi parted.

OMG, I wanted to scream. And Dr Drew wouldn't let anyone else speak. :furious: Dr Drew kept insisting that his profession would never do something so unethical as to admit a person to a psychiatric ward without a reason. But that's in REAL LIFE...not jail life. She's in the custody of the judicial system; the judicial system isn't going to take any chances that a prisoner who has publicly expressed a desire to die will kill herself. Simple. This was more about protecting the judicial system, than Jodi, quite honestly.

::yes:: I think too, at the time, that Darryl was fulfilling her needs to be taken care of and have a home. When it wasn't working for her anymore and other things came along, that's when she "changed." It was...and I hate to use this expression in light of the tragedies in Oklahoma :( ...the perfect storm.

 Best news I've heard all day! :wizard:

My take with Jodi is that she tried everything Darryl wanted in a woman. She tried to be responsible adult and work and help with all the bills. But when something else came along to let her wild side come back out she turned the tables on him.

:cheer2: Add me to the cheer list. It seems your little miracle is a very much needed sweet reminder of all that IS good about life! I feel you being on here, and it all happening now is a mini miracle in all our lives.:grouphug:

I pray for you, DH, and Little Charlotte!:littleangel:

Thank you so much for sharing this intimate part of your life! Wow! I am humbled and will hug my kids a little tighter in honor of your family.

Agee 100% She wanted to be normal, live a normal life in a world that can be sometimes idealistic at that age. Then reality set in and she decided to take (her life) the bull by the horns
