I think it would hurt in appeals. She is sticking to the self defense claim so she can use it in her next trial.

It may hurt, but anything she has said while NOT under oath isn't worth much in the eyes of the law. In the eyes of a juror though, yeah, I'd definitely take note.

Hi guys. I have been away the last few days. Moore, OK is my hometown. We lost our home and my parents have major damage. Thank you for the prayers. They are needed big time. It is like a war zone out here. Very scary and devastating. I hope you are doing well and will hopefully be able to catch up on everything when things start to settle.

So sorry. Your family and the rest of Moore are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well, here's hoping the jury has the ability to come together and come to a verdict. I couldn't imagine spending all those months and feeling so defeated to not be able to reach a conclusion. Hopefully, they will all sleep on it tonight.

It must be frustrating to not be able to see this to the conclusion, esp if there's only one holdout. Kind of like the alternate jurors, sitting there for months of testimony, and then, nada.

I wanted to share this with everybody just because it's really a neat thing; I just returned from welcoming home 10 charter buses full of veterans. A program called Vets Roll takes veterans out to Washington to the memorials free of charge. Each bus is filled with medical staff to ensure the elderly vets have no problem while away from home. It's a humbling experience to see and meet so many amazing men and women who selflessly gave of themselves. If anybody has a family member that served, look at this site and sign them up. A local RV place will pick up and drop off vets from anywhere. I think there were vets from at least 13 states that went on this trip. I'm going to sign up to go either next year or the year after as medical personal, even though I'll be there to help, I have a feeling I will be rewarded in such an amazing way. http://www.vetsroll.org/

Re: the convicted murderer. What can I say... I can only hope that she never sees the light of day..that the jury comes to a Just verdict and that my guess would be that it will
resolve today before the extended Holiday weekend
IMHO. The jurors have had enough. Those that oppose death may feel like they gave in before so with the Grace from above
let them Follow the Law, remember the WEIGHT of the Cm Actions versus the fake flowery words by the dt and the Despicable contrived manipulating words used by the Cm who is Not remorseful nor worthy of mercy.. Nuf said.

Don't tell my DH I said that. Actually, my DS is coming home for the weekend, and I'm so excited...miss him so much!

You share a birthday with my brother's person, but yours is so much more important!!! HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY! I'll celebrate by going to bratfest and possibly the zoo! Hope you enjoy the visit with your son, will the whole family be together?

As much as I feel she deserves the DP, at this point I would be OK with the prosecution to take DP off the table if it will bring this to an end. To empanel a whole new jury to try for the DP is a huge drain on resources and emotions for the family. If DP is taken off the table I desperately hope JA gets life without parole.

Did anyone else see the message that an ex inmate left on The State vs Jodi Arias FB page - if someone can find it and post it here it is quite interesting and scary, sounds like some of the jailmates have gotten wind of Jodi's interviews and think she is a diva and it is quite threatening...I can't get to FB from work so I can't post it....

Thank you! How wonderful of you to celebrate my birthday! No, the family won't be together. Oldest DD is going to be...and this is just so WRONG...at WDW. LOL Her boyfriend's father's birthday is the same day, and he moved to Florida a few months ago. (But we sort of celebrated in the car on the way to other DD's college graduation last weekend. ) My other DD and her DH are celebrating their wedding anniversary this weekend, so they're coming from CT Saturday...we'll probably do a small celebration ...and then we're babysitting DGD while they go out for their anniversary. And honestly, babysitting DGD is a pretty good present! And I suppose at noon-ish or so we'll haul DS out of bed.

I'm with you there. I think at this point I just hate that Jodi will A) feel like she "won" and B) have any sort of benefits getting life over the death penalty, but if it's as we've heard, and it's all the same for her, whether she gets life or death, in prison for at least 3 years (which I heard on HLN) to 5 years (which an alleged ex-inmate said on State vs Jodi Arias), then I guess I can accept that. I just feel for the family. They're stuck between a rock and a hard place, I'm sure, wanting this to be over, yet desperately wanting her to get the ultimate penalty.

I was thinking about that yesterday, I hardly think AZ stayed within their budget for a projected 4 month trial by having it run over by an additional month.

Interesting, when I can get past her spelling and grammar errors. It drives me crazy to read her stuff.

Just hit me watching JVM on HLN. I had resigned myself to Jodi getting "Life" (altho I think more likely the jury will be hung) because her life for at least 3 - 5 years will be the same as if she got death...same housing, same restrictions. BUT...if she does get Life, the judge will set a sentencing date of 30 - 60 days (not sure if she COULD sentence right away ) and during that time, Jodi stays where she is. Which means, I assume, that she could be doing the media rounds again, tweeting, and otherwise mouthing off from jail. Ugh.

And I wonder who's tweeting for her now.
