Are they looking at this as terrorist attack?

Looks like it started as a small fire in the fertilizer plant, and as firefighters were putting it out, the explosion occurred. Fertilizer plants contain very volatile substances.

I can't imagine what the folks in that town are dealing with. Updates said up to 160 injured, many still missing, and 5-15 fatalities.

THoughts and prayers go out to all involved. So sad.

Ugh, the weather is nasty making things even worse over in West. Our house only jumped up and shook last night when the explosion occurred. At first we thought it was thunder, but it was just too much for that. Jen and I went to the front porch to look and listen, but nothing out there. Then of course, we went on the net, this is why I love Twitter, it really connects all of us. Thanks for your thoughts on my neighbors, it's such a wonderful community I have no doubt this only strengthens them.

Just horrific. It's been a rough week. Starting to get that "what's next?" feeling.

At this point (last I heard) there's no reason to believe it's a terrorist attack, but they are investigating it with the possibility that it is.

Right, I doubt it's a terrorist attack, just an accident, but best to be thorough in investigating.

I certainly hope not. Just to close to what occurred in Boston, kinda makes you wonder. I mean look at Timothy Mcvey. My prayers are certainly there for them.

Uncle Remus- Glad all is OK at your house. So sorry about the surrounding community, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Its now to the point where you are afraid to turn on the Tv in the morning, thinking what could possibly happen next????

When I turned on the new this AM, they were reporting a concourse was shut down at Miami International Airport for a suspicious package.

Thankfully, it turned out to be nothing.

A man flying from Boston to Jamaica was going thru TSA with a cigarette lighter shaped like a hand grenade (WHY OH WHY?) and of course precautions had to be taken.

Right, I doubt it's a terrorist attack, just an accident, but best to be thorough in investigating.

I did not know you lived in Texas. Are you fairly close? Some had pictures floating, can't remember where I saw it, but it showed an explosion from quite a distance. Don't know if it was from that or not.

Oh yeah, close. We're in Willie Nelson's neighborhood in this neck of the woods, everyone here has a picture with Willie.

I'm trying to bring some levity into all this, just watched the President in a very moving memorial for the Boston explosions, but I'm kinda having one of those "Osama bin Laden is a *****" days.
