This might be an extension of this morning. Maybe the judge will rule whether the defense can enter the eye pictures into evidence? Bryan is the guy that testified this morning. Makes me wonder if this has nothing to do with ALV.

Oh right, the judge still needed to rule on that after she reviewed something about rule 701 (or whatever # it was ) ... I bet you are correct that this is just a continuation of this morning's hearing ...

These poor jurors have been patient all this time. They should of called for no court today and just dealt with this.

I believe ALV would have been allowed to talk to TA's family as part of her research if she asked through proper channels and they accepted the request. She is NOT allowed to ambush the victim's family though, which is what she did.

She said she needed to re-read code 7.02 (i'm assuming an evidence code) before making her ruling which she said she would do this afternoon.

I was trying to remember if the judge said she needed further evidence before she could rule during the hearing they had earlier. Maybe this is the "further evidence" she needed.

I had read that too about if she ASKED and the family said yes she could then interview them.

I guess the State reconsidered calling one of it's previous witness' science not reliable. Probably a good idea, wouldn't want any convictions based on this expert's work in other cases questioned.
