Jodi Arias Trial Part 4, starting with redirect of "expert" Dr Samuels, March 19

LOL, my 50 year old savantish mentally handicapped brother, now he definitely can recall dates and specifics of all those dates, but has sense enough to know when to shut up about whatever date he's got in mind at the moment, not like Jodi rambling on and on. And then there's Jen's son now mine too. Just what I need, a 16 year old to roll his eyes behind my back when I say stay the hell away from women like this as I point to the TV and Jodi. :dance3:

Seriously, I have used this trial as a learning tool with this kid, he was wrapped up with a psycho just like Jodi some time back. And I mean just like!

:scared1:

UR, I have a question since you know how to locate things. There is word that this woman had a complaint filed against her to the Los Angeles District Attorney for Discrimination against men by the County Domestic Violence Council.

Yeah. And this kid (ours) is really a good kid, but not very street wise. Thank goodness he now sees his mother and I were right every time we screamed stay away from that girl!!! The girl was put in a live in correctional school of sorts where she pulled a knife on a boy, kicked outta the school and returned to high school where she did it again to another boy. Every so often I say to our kid, was I right?, was your mother right? Do what we tell you!

My hairdresser called me to come in earlier and I ran.
The judge was asking the jurors about coming in early next week I think. Did I hear correctly? Is is a permanent time change I hope
Looks like no court on Monday?

Thanks.

Pardon my spelling I'm on my phone typing.

That is frightening to hear.
I hope he learned a good lesson there.
Boys are extra special for giving their moms a few extra gray hairs.

Oooh that's an interesting little tidbit. :hyper:

 Well, when you're 16 you think you know everything. ;) At least I did!

Start at the California Family Therapists (or whatever they call it) Licensing Board, if a legal case has been filed, they should have it and if someone filed a complaint with the DA's office, it should be in their data base. Hell, call the Domestic Violence Council and ask them, tell them they can get a slot on TV with Dr Drew. ;)

So strange, Dallas' Mayor just did a big PR blitz in Dallas about domestic abuse, had some football player or the like who twisted his mother's arm on apologizing for it. :rolleyes2

Bolded below is how my mother got her gray hair, but yes, it was terrible when it was all going on.

And honestly, I won't be surprised if we're all hauled into court testifying in this girl's trial someday.

Beth Karas just reported the jury is still intact, so that's been cleared, but I bet some procedures change for the jurors and the State.

Beth Karas said on HLN that she saw the judge's assistant after the judge questioned the jury, and Beth asked if the jury was still "intact" and the assistant said "yes".

Vinnie Politan asked Jason Lamb what he thought about JM and the pictures/autographs. JL says "The AZ rules of professional conduct prohibit extra judicial statements by any attorney, not just a prosecutor." JL "consulted with an ethics expert who confirmed that these statement don't need to be verbal. The bottom line is 'was Juan Martinez reckless about whether or not a juror would see this and could it interfere with their evaluation of the case.' The judge is going through now methodically talking to each juror to make sure there's a clean record that no juror has seen this because this WILL be an issue on appeal." He also said that there's a bridge that goes from the courthouse to another county building and Juan Martinez doesn't need to be in the courthouse plaza 'glad handing' everybody. In a case like this, he needs to be careful about any indication of impropriety.

Vinnie Politan said "Then they should be careful with the jury then" and where they are.

Just passing this along! We'll see what happens.

It has to be frustrating from both ends. I don't think JM was really looking to be in the spotlight, but I'm sure he didn't want to appear rude and say "Sorry, I can't". I'm sort of surprised that there isn't a backway or something that JA, DT, Prosecutor and Jury has to go through. Here's hoping that this doesn't cause an issue.

I couldn't agree more with Vinnie ... If they are that worried about what a juror sees or hears than just sequester the jury  ...

I personally think that Willie's eye rolling and smirks and stomping over to sidebar when JM calls an objection shows professional misconduct and the jury definitely sees when she does those things ... So basically can't her shenanigans interfere with a juror's evaluation of the case too? ...

I really hope that the jury saw nothing and the judge can put this one to rest ... :)

There should be a procedure for the area around the courthouse, IMHO. There must be procedures IN the courthouse...for ex, the jurors can't be using the same bathrooms as the defendant or the witnesses or the observers. Why not make similar rules for around the courthouse if it's going to be a big deal? But then, sometimes rules get made after someone makes a big deal, and going forward, they'll look closer at this. Meanwhile, I bet for this case, the parties have some restrictions from the judge.

So Ryan Smith asked Joey Jackson, regarding JM and prosecutorial misconduct, if JM crossed the line, and Joey Jackson said "Absolutely NOT. He's been a prosecutor for 25 years, he does a dynamic job for the state, he represents people, he does it for very little with regard to economic benefit, and it doesn't appear that he does it for fanfare. He seems to me to be about justice." And basically, if he's walking outside and people stop him, he wants to be gracious.

And personally, I like Joey Jackson better than Jason Lamb, so he gets my vote in this. :teeth:

Juan did nothing wrong. giving someone an autograph on a cane and taking pictures. Look at all the attention that was given in the CA trial all the time.

That jury was sequestered and I'm going with Jean Casarez on this one, gawd, we don't want a mistrial at this point. :headache:

Juan would not do anything intentionally to hurt this case. He has been doing this to long. He does not even respond to the facebook page or anything else.

Here's Chris Hughes on the stand back on Day 10 if anyone wants a refresher.
Yes, I do! TY.

I don't think anyone thinks that JM is intentionally doing anything wrong. And responding on FB would DEFINITELY be bad news. Remember the Casey Anthony trial and Yuri Melich's "Dick Tracy" username...was it on Websleuths that he posted? What a debacle that was.
