I thought the 12 jurors would be chosen right before deliberations and weren't yet known.

They'll be chosen randomly. They could technically end up with 11 men and one woman.

Some of this testimony, and back earlier in the trial, sounds like a middle school "trial" where the testimony is "Did he refuse to hold her hand?" and the decision to be made is "Should Jodi go to the 8th grade dance with Travis or not?"

Jodi NEVER said that she stopped Travis when he penetrated her in the middle of the night! Or that he FORCED her to perform oral after that. She said that the next day they never said a thing to each other about it!

JODI HAD LIMITS AND BOUNDARIES?????????

I would even bet that if that even happened, JA initiated the entire thing ... I don't believe any of her stories ...

Sidebar ... I wonder if a gag order was issued for excused Juror #5 so she won't be appearing on any tv shows or giving any interviews? ... maybe that's why TA's sisters were crying? ...

I think JA is very happy that the jury now consists of 7 men and 5 women ... I think she believes that she can win the men over without a problem ...

There were originally 18 people on the jury. 17 now. There will be 12 picked at random for the jury with 5 alternates.

This is kind of like The Titanic, or the Station Night Club Fire in RI 10 years ago...things happen that make TPTB take notice and implement changes. The Arizona courts will probably (hopefully) study and make note of the problems in this trial, esp jury issues (and maybe prosecutor/autograph issues) and implement new rules.

Juror #5 is NOT restricted from speaking to the press. But the press can't contact her, since they don't know her name. I don't think the press can approach jurors AFTER a trial (for the CA trial, as a reference, the jurors were given packets with info on how to contact the press), so I'm guessing that this is still true of this juror...that it's up to the juror to do the contacting.

It seems that Jean C is rambling about jurors. It make it sounds like she wants the rest of the jury to be for Jodi. I wish they would remove her.

Hello all...been out of the loop for two weeks! Saw the juror number five situation. Any other breaking news? What happened after the expert. I'm actually shocked this hasn't gone to the jury yet or has it??
