Jodi Arias Trial Part 4, starting with redirect of "expert" Dr Samuels, March 19

I'm sure both sides are pulling out all the stops. It is what it is. I wish I had more confidence in this judge's rulings, but in the end, that doesn't necessarily matter either. As in...loved Judge Perry, and Casey Anthony walked.

I think I'm at the point where I need to feel a bit less passionate about this, because ANYTHING can happen. It's not over yet. We don't know what the jury is thinking, or what's still to come that could sway jurors away from what they might be thinking at this point.

Before the verdict in the CA trial, I came to terms with the very real possibility that she might not be found guilty of 1st degree murder. The actual verdict was a huge shocker. I know this is a very different case, but the thing that is the same is a jury full of human beings with their own flaws and prejudices and life experiences.

I know, it is hard for some out comes, but the judge has no say in what the jury does.. Some times I thinks Perry would love to have asked them what was your thinking?

Anyone watching Nancy Grates? Some of the video she's showing I haven't seen, but you all may have.

You tell them we said you could take off tomorrow with pay! :lmao:

It looks like a complaint filed against that DVC org, not ALV herself so I'm not sure it matters. Reminds me of Maricopa County's Sheriff, didn't he file papers alleging some official wasn't even American, a Kenyan of some sort. ;)

Years ago (decades) when I was a young cop on the road I had a call to a domestic dispute and when the man opened the door his face looked like hamburger meat. Not a scratch on his wife and she still wanted to go at him. That's all the education I needed to know women can be batterers.

Oh, I am sure there are plenty of men who are battered. I don't the numbers but it does happen.

The judge has no say in the verdict, of course, but they do make rulings that absolutely can affect the outcome. I was just saying that even tho I had way more confidence in Judge Perry, in the end it didn't matter. I'm less confident in this judge's rulings, so it's kind of discouraging.

OMG, I'm so loving Mark Eiglarsh, the lawyer who's often on Dr Drew. He's a riot. I'm forced, I tell ya, to watch Dr Drew just to see Mark Eiglarsh. Thank goodness for FF!

Beth Karas just said the jurors saw nothing, and the jury is in tact. Defense is blowing things up.

I don't care for her either. I don't like how she runs the court. But this time I don't want to think about how this jury is thinking. I do believe Juan is doing an excellent job. Don't stress Mare. I am looking forward to Juan for his rebuttal. Breath deeply..

Sure they are. They're going to keep throwing things at the wall and hoping eventually something will stick so they can get their mistrial. It's really the only chance they have left.

Not to worry! I'm good! :teeth: Just saying that for me, I'm stepping back. As we near the end, it's occurring to me that I better stop making assumptions about how strong a case I feel this is for the prosecution. BTDT

Nancy Grace showed a lot of the police interrogation that I have never seen before. They showed a split screen with her at the defense table that was in the court room while the detective was on the witness stand and the tape was being played. It must have been played over 2 days because her trial clothes are different. I hope the jury hasn't forgotten about her crazy story and how she said she had a morbid curiosity to look at the photos of Travis after she killed him.

Now on to watch Dr. Drew and then HLN After Dark.

You know talk about misconduct, there is a young lady who is 17 that passed a note to Willie and also emails her. She also gave her autograph to the young lady. And this young woman also was a guest on Dr. Drew.

Jeez, my mind was spinning watching HLN re-enacting all those camera shots---putting together that - that last picture of TA looking into the camera, may have been him sitting down in the shower, then she attacks. Her possibly kicking the camera..all their scenarios. Just mushed my brain.

I haven't looked back to see this mentioned. So, let me know if this was mentioned. I was just on another site when someone posted a blow up picture of Jodi's mom wearing "#1 Mom" necklace today...it was a picture of the ribbon, but I never noticed that necklace until someone commented on...look at her necklace! Unbelieveable.

Yeah, she is 17 and ended up being Dr. Drew juror with Kate a few times. She passed a note in court to Willie how she admired her ourtbecausse she wants to be an attorney. She gave her an autograph. And they have been emailing back and forth. Hmmm....did the jury see that in court? That is misconduct. I know #1 mom necklace. And they are wearing DV ribbons, well was Travis not a victim of DV? Just so wrong!

I noticed that necklace yesterday. I was like whaaaaat?!? :scared1: Maybe the DT told her to wear it. Maybe it's to make herself feel better. Maybe she liked the design. Maybe it was on sale. Who knows. :confused3

I saw the girl the night she was on Dr. Drew and told about this. I didn't really see what she saw to admire, but then I'm not 17 and possibly a little starstuck either. I had no idea this could be considered misconduct though.

As for ribbons, if TA's side can't wear them, JA's side shouldn't be able to either - regardless of what they're for. It's almost like they're trying to rub it in. Grrr...

The #1 Mom necklace seems a bit inappropriate under the circumstances. But maybe it's a necklace Jodi gave to her years ago. :confused3 Maybe it's special to her. From our point of view, it's a little  but she is Jodi's mother, and her daughter IS facing the DP.

What I think is interesting are reports that Jodi NEVER makes eye contact with her mom.

The DV ribbons, to me/us, seem to be very inappropriate too, but it's also their defense, so from their point of view, they have as much right. It feels a little "dueling ribbons"-like to me tho.

It's my understanding they've only communicated in emails, no notes passed in the courtroom. I don't believe for a minute that Willie would EVER pass a note to an observer in court in front of the jury. The jury isn't ever there during downtime. I think in court, Willie has bigger things to deal with than passing notes to a general observer. I see nothing wrong with Willie and a young woman who finds her inspiring to email as long as the case isn't being discussed, and I haven't heard that it is.

Travis' family can and are wearing the ribbons, aren't they? I think the problem was that ALL the people on that side (random observers) were wearing them, and that possibly Travis' family had handed them out? Don't remember the exact details.

@WildAboutTrial: So a juror did see the whole autograph incident after all. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. #JodiArias

@WildAboutTrial: I am investigating it further, was pretty sure the source was credible and accurate but I will continue to research it. #JodiArias

Ruh Roh ... If true, I really hope that this doesn't cause a real issue now :sad2: ... But can't the one juror just be replaced with an alternate and the issue will be solved? :confused3 ...

And on a side note, I highly doubt that none of these jurors have seen or heard anything about this case outside of the courtroom prior to this autograph-photo-gate drama anyway  ... And if the juror who allegedly witnessed it says it won't interfere with his/her verdict, shouldn't the entire matter be over with? ...

ETA: Sorry for the alarm folks ... This was tweeted while I was posting ...

@WildAboutTrial: Source is not credible after all, I can't confirm that a juror saw it. Sorry for the false alarm. Will continue to investigate. #JodiArias

Phew ... I really hope a juror didn't see anything ... :)

I understood that none of them saw anything.
