Did anyone watch Jane Velez-Mitchell last night when they cut in with their legal analyst and the analyst said something along the lines of the defense expert is feeding the jury a load of bullsh!t.

I couldn't believe they said that on TV.

I would love to find that clip on youtube or somewhere. I work for an attorney and one day I was covering our front desk for lunch. There was a client in the lobby. My boss was in his office in a heated debate with another attorney. He yelled "that's bullsh!t and you know it!" The client looked at me and I said "that's a very technical, legal argument." So now that's a running joke in our office.

Just caught up, trying to find everything from today. I youtube'd "Juan Martinez March 18" and up came a "Juantage" of videos..haha, he was on an episode of Snapped (which I've seen), so weird to see him so calm.

Darn...would have loved to have seen JM on Snapped, but I don't watch that show. LOL I'll have to keep checking for a repeat.

I really wanted to see them do the reenactment but didn't watch cause of Baez.

I have it recorded because I have the series set to record. I would have to FF through Baez, if I watch it. I tend to keep these things around for a while and then delete them without watching. Kind of like keeping leftovers in the fridge until they go bad.

Just seeing the promos for the show tho, where they showed the setup of the rooms, those shelves looked too close together. Also, without truly making an exact reproduction (with clothes hanging and all), I think it would be tough to get the whole "feel" of the rooms.

I don't "hate" defense lawyers because they're defense lawyers. Every defendant deserves a fair trial. I do think that there are often defense lawyers I don't like, because IMHO (not Uncle Remus') in particular cases, they spin a smarmy story at the expense of someone else's reputation, ie what Bozo did to George Anthony and Nurmi is doing to Travis Alexander with no proof (except to Uncle Remus). There have been trials I've seen where I've felt that there wasn't enough evidence and agree with the "not guilty" verdict, or that I believe there wasn't enough evidence and I'm shocked that someone IS convicted.

I cannot stand Nurmi. Besides the fact (IMHO) that he's attempting to destroy someone based on the lies of the defendant without corroborating evidence (since the only "evidence" is a line in a recording, and they know that they need a whole helluva lot more than that to make Travis into a pedophile), he's obnoxious as hell to listen to, droning on like that.I think that if I were actually a juror on this or any other case, I would feel LESS strongly about opinions like that, because I'd make a conscious effort to focus on "just the facts, ma'am", and that listening to him was just part of the process.

I watched another trial...Adam Kaufman...accused of murdering his wife. This was the "spray tan defense" trial. He was found "not guilty." For various reasons, I think he did murder her. But I agree with the verdict. I thought one defense lawyer was a total ******* (beyond disrespectful to the female judge), but I thought the prosecutors and their case as presented were lousy.

That was Wendy Williams and it was pretty funny! The show is live, and I guess there wasn't a delay, altho I think they may change that, or issue WW a strong warning beforehand. But honestly, with all the stuff from this trial, it was pretty benign.

Kielbasa Stir-Fry. I was having a hard time getting motivated, and then HLN started talking about that After Dark show and was about to show Jose Baez, but thankfully I got to the remote in time. LOL Now I just have to shower and clean all the #*%#%&#(& snow off my car.

Good morning everyone! Hope all is well.

I know everyone has a job to do the defense and the state. Even a defense attorney needs to defend their client. But when that attorney is accusing people of things that they have never done, and by the way there were letters to support they were going that route. This person has ruined someone who worked in law enforcement. Destroyed their home to make their case, I have a problem with that. CA's dad has said he knows his daughter did something to Caylee.

And using that defense she should have been on the stand to verify all that her dad was accused of. And don't get me started on the jury. And the Defense and their behavior after the trial. Baez wanted to make a bundle off a little girl who was clearly murdered. I wonder how some of these attorney's would feel if their family would be defended with people like that? I believed they would be outraged. Even Baez could not pass the bar due to his whole conduct.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed the streaming cooperates today. I don't know whether it was me or the feed yesterday but it kept buffering and going out over and over.

The problem I have with these lawyers and Baez is the tactics they used to defend their clients. Both in this case and CA you have lawyers putting people on the stand to accuse others of being child molesters or having those thoughts. There's no proof that CA's father or brother molested her but it was thrown out there in open court for the world to hear. There's nothing to show Travis was into child pornography but again it was put out there for the world to hear. Yes, someone has to defend these people but there's just something totally disgusting about doing it like that.

I totally understand. I have a moral issue with the defense tactics, but at the same time the defendant has control. So if CA or JA makes these accusations, they are going to come out at trial as part of their defense. I don't like the accusations and I don't believe the accusations. JM has done a great job of proving that JA is a liar and that there is no evidence to support her claims against Travis.

Juan was incredible last night!!!

I had to watch the afternoon on HLN which took till 9pm

He kicked butt and made Samuels look soooooo bad.

Looking forward to today.

Behind on my days from the illness, so I am doing my cornbeef and cabbage.
Which means I won't get behind on the computer while I cook. Just throw it all in the dutch oven and done.
