Jodi Arias Trial Part 3, STILL in redirect of Jodi, Mar 5

So what is everyone else doing today when we should be trial-watching? I cleaned the bathroom (my least favorite task evah), and swept and mopped the kitchen floor. It took forever trying to do it by myself, but feels good now that it's finished. :dance3:

Have we discussed yet what we'll do once this is over? :rolleyes1

I had my annual appt with the lady doctor this morning. Glad it is over! I am getting ready to leave for Stations of the Cross. One of my favorite things to do during Lent but I am usually not off work on Mondays.

Trying to get ahead at work so it don't interfere with my trial time on Wednesday.

I wonder if Juan is going to play that finger video for the jury?

If you're referring to the Youtube video, he wouldn't be able to play it for her. He and/or his legal team would have to assemble their own video from the evidence. Just like KN did with the recorded phone conversations. It would be nice if JM came up with something like this though.

You know where I live , I am surprised that Mr. Leonard Padailla has not tried to rescue Ms. Arias.

Lol! Wish it was. I've done something to my neck. Possible issues with disc. Spent one evening at ER with IV pain meds. Had MRI yesterday and will see neurosurgeon next week.
That's awful. I hope you can get help with that.
How obsessed I have become with this Trial that waiting in line to board SOARIN' today at DCA, I realized that JA has been OR mentioned at at least 3 places SOARIN' takes us: PALM SPRINGS, BORREGO SPRINGS & MONTEREY!

:headache:
Oh, that's disturbing. lol
maybe she's so narcissistic that she believes the good people of the world will realize their wrongs in convicting her and someday she'll be let out.
That's what I think will happen.

If Jodi is convicted of 1st Degree Pre-meditated Murder, I wonder how she'll react?? I wonder if she'll be "vocal" for lack of a better word...I can picture her screaming "He tried to kill me!" or some such thing.

My daughter stopped in to pick up her mail and got an earful about the trial. Screwed up my motivation!

Some of us touch base on the Casey Anthony thread when something new with her shows up, and I bet, no matter the outcome, we'll be hearing about Jodi Arias for years to come. I was going to say that we'll move on to the next trial of some crazy wackadoo, but without InSession, I don't see myself following another trial. If InSession hadn't been on for the 6 hours/day when this trial started, I doubt I would have followed it like I have.

I am sure we will see tears. Let's just hope it is in response to a GUILTY verdict....

Ugh. I don't even want to think of the alternative. :crazy2: I think if she is found not-guilty, the court security will have a tough time holding Travis' sisters back from scratching her eyes out and killing her themselves.

I know I said this back during a certain...ahem...Florida trial, but no way can she be found not guilty of anything. We all know she did it. And, I think we know from the jury questions that "they" aren't buying her story. However, Jinga or Beth Karas said that only half (9) of the jurors have asked questions, so we only really have an indication of how those 9 might be leaning. I wouldn't be surprised (but I would be disgusted) if she's convicted of 2nd degree murder (and get out in 15 yrs or whatever? ugh) even if some or most believe 1st degree, or if there's a hung jury. Can you imagine a retrial? :crazy2: When the first Phil Spector trial ended in a hung jury, InSession didn't show the retrial. I'm guessing HLN wouldn't follow it as much...who wants to hear all that crap all over again anyway.

I wonder what Jodi and her lawyers are thinking now after all the jury questions.

Oh I think they will find her guilty, I just don't know for sure it will be 1st degree......

Oh, one more thing and then I must put this trial out of my mind for the rest of the day! Tonight on JVM, they're going to talk about Jodi supporters who are claiming that Travis had a violent past, and they (JVM and crew) are going to debunk those claims? :confused3 Something like that.

Also...I had thought that the next thread would potentially be during deliberation time (silly me!) and that I'd have a guilt/innocent poll, but I have a feeling we'll go through a couple more threads. So, my question is...what kind of poll would you want to see? I think I can add one to this thread, or I'll just do it in the next one, if we come up with something to poll. Earlier on, in the first thread, I could have put something like "Will Jodi testify?", but at this point...?? When we think we're on the last thread (that day WILL come, right??), I'll do the guilt/innocent question.

But, do we know exactly what the guilt options are? What are the lesser charges, or have those options not been determined yet? :confused3

I know you will never what her attorneys are thinking. I hope that with them having been in court rooms, they should be ashamed of how their client is acting toward the prosecution, they way she is conducting herself in front of this jury. Jodi has been so disrespectful.

INMHO, I think her attorneys know that things are not going well. Jodi keeps hanging herself all the way around. She keeps getting caught in lies. Juan keeps proving it over and over again. The attorneys have to believe that these questions prove they are paying attention to the details that matter most to this case. I think the ones about the gun are vital. Jodi mentioned a holster which never came into play in the first place, then the question got raised a second time and now it was in a box. Can't keep that story straight. Then it got asked if she undid the safety lock, did she **** the gun. See Jodi did not stop and think about all those issues. Jodi has to keep making up new issues as she goes along. She has told so many lies she can't keep track of what she has said.

I think all the jurors are bright enough to see that Jodi is lying, and keeps making up story's. I were a juror and watching her every move I certainly would notice allot of her actions. And I would notice your certainly not begging for your life in any aspect.

How would supporters of Jodi know anything about Travis? They don't even know the man. I don't support all the things the shows claim. They have to fill in gaps some where. Don't know any of the options are yet. I would just put the next thread and The Lies Just Keep on Coming...sorry just being silly.:rotfl:

First of all, I LMAO at the 4 letter word with asterisks, because my first thought started with F and I thought "What the heck does that even mean?" LMAO But yeah, I figured it out...slow brain day. :crazy2:

BUT, we don't know how smart the jurors are. All we know is that WE'RE smart. :teeth: There are some pretty stupid people out in the world. :scared: All they need is a driver's license or be a voter, I think, depending on the state. I remember when Jose Bozo was having a hissy fit because there weren't enough (or any?) minorities in the jury pool, and Judge Perry (gosh, I miss seeing him in action! And Jeff Ashton!) saying that they are randomly selected based on having a driver's license and there was nothing he can do about that; think of all the people you know who have a driver's license and that they COULD serve. It's scary to think who can sit on a jury. Think Jennifer Ford, from the Casey Anthony trial; she sounded like a total idiot when she spoke after the trial. That's what scares me. We really don't know who's on this jury. All we need is one Jennifer Ford, and Jodi gets off easier, or there's a hung jury.

And consider this...what if someone is on the jury who would have been on the Jodi Arias is Innocent website. There are people out there buying her story.

Ugh, I just gave myself a stomach ache. ;) Usnuz, I'm going to just psych myself up to be as positive as you are! :thumbsup2

Not that this indicates how smart or not smart anyone is, but since I brought it up, this is how AZ calls up prospective jurors.

Where does the jury commissioner obtain names of prospective jurors?

The list of names that is used to call people for jury service is created by combining the County's voter registration list and Arizona Department of Transportation records. Names are randomly selected from that master list by a computer program.

NOW I'm putting this behind me for the rest of the day! (Or not! lol)

I believe the only guilt options are first-degree or second-degree (per HLN).

http://www.hlntv.com/article/2013/02/13/arias-sentencing

I thought homicide was an option? Or is that second degree? In all honesty, as despicable as I believe Jodi to be, I'd have an extremely difficult time putting somebody on death row. I wouldn't be the executioner, but I sure would feel as though I'd be playing the role of God in a way. There is no envy for anybody on the jury (other than the really good seat and the ability to ask questions that I would love to ask), and I hope they are all similar in mindset, so that the best decision can be made.

You looking at OJ for a minute, so we think he got away with murder. In a world sense it would look like that. But how ever , as time went by he got more bold and brazen thinking he could do what ever and get what ever. Well his time came for the last time in Vegas. These types of people eventually do something and they get caught. Same with CA, she may be walking free. But in essence, she is not. She has nightmares and flashbacks and all sorts of things happening to her knowing what happened to Caylee. That is living in prison, along with the fact that she can't walk out side feeling like she is going to be attacked. She might really think she was better off in a cell. Her nightmares continue with all the law suits. So she can't escape from any of it. So at some point something will come out of it. It is just not what we hoped for. You don't need to psych yourself up, I just know what I know. There will be a day for CA.

I don't think JA is going to walk away. She confessed to the murder. Way different from CA. More evidence than you can shake a stick at.
