Does anyone here watch this amazing show? This past week's episode was the best!! Anyone care to discuss???

AmazingGrace:

I'm so ashamed that I keep missing that show! What time and day does it come on? I remember when I first heard of it just sayng how COOL an idea! I just keep missing it!

BTW, great username!

We always watch the show! It's such a good uplifting show without coming across as being "preachy". I didn't realize until recently that John Ritter's son is in it! I had commented when I first saw the show that the older boy resembled a young John Ritter but didn't make the connection!

I almost cried in last week's episode when the mom was reading the letter from Joan's friend's mom who had commited suicide. Made me think of a friend of mine. Her DH commited suicide when their daughter was only a toddler. Makes me wonder if her daughter ever wonders why..............:(

I watch this show every week (and tape it when I can't). It is such a good, wholesome show with great themes each week. They carry the show from week to week well, you really have to know what happened in earlier weeks to understand some things. I think they all are great in the show, especially Amber Tamblyn.

I think I cry at every show, honestly. This past show had me in tears especially thinking of our friend here, Tammi (Rajah).

Great show.

I love the show, too! I started watching because of Amber Tamblyn (she was great on General Hospital) & now I am hooked. My DH (who doesn't like anything other than The Sopranos & Seinfeld reruns) even likes it. It won the best new drama award at the People's Choice Awards. Amber Tamblyn is nominated for a Golden Globe for "Best Actress in a Drama Series". I hope she wins.

I finally caught this show last week but didn't get to watch it from the beginning. It does look like a really good show on tv for a change. I hope it sticks around for a few seasons at least. I was so happy that it won the "People's Choice Award" last weekend - could be a good sign of things to come I hope.

We love it at our house. Only problem is when dd's basketball games start late. But, it's nice to have a show we can all watch. We've had some interesting conversations based on the happenings on it. Not much we can watch with a 10 y/o.

I really like this show but missed it this past Friday. It hadn't been on for a few weeks or was reruns and I forgot all about it. Maybe I will see it when it gets rerun in the summer. I hope.

It was an interesting episode, still very intense. I am hoping for a less intense one or two to come up. I thought it was great that the father is going back to detective work. I am glad that Adam and Joan finally made up, I hope that Adam will go back to his art work now. I laughed at the science fair projects take off, it was really beautiful if you weren't one of the several projects destoyed by the projectile. I liked the way they tied several ongoing strings together and the time when Joan misjudged the person at the coffee machine as "God".

Love this show. Good story lines with no preachiness and no syrupy sweet easy wrap ups. Plus it makes you think. (and cry too!)

Thanks, Pam! I usually turn to HGTV at that time, no wonder I've been missing it.

and last week was so good. I cried like a baby when he had that letter and couldn't read it.

Such great writing and so many stories involved every week. I have a meeting this friday but will tape it for sure.

DH and I started watching this show when it premiered and have been hooked ever since. Friday night's was particularly good. I've been trying to tape them all - we use a lot of movie/tv clips in our Sunday night church service, and this show has great potential to be of use.

I completely agree with always quiet.

This is not my usual fare, but the ads this summer were so good we decided to give it a try. We were hooked immediately. It is one of the few shows we never miss.

It has a good solid cast with ourstanding acting.

And the music !!!! It is terrific.

Count me in as another Joan of Arcadia addict. I agree, last Friday's show was one of (if not THE) best shows so far. I'm now really looking forward to this week's show.
