Just returned from our 6th cruise and it it was our best one so far.
It was the Wonder and what made it amazing was the people on board.
Especially Jo from the UK (club hostess).. she totally made our cruise the most memorable. She and so many others but especially her.
So much so, that we're planning our next cruise solely based on whether she's going to be there.

Does anyone know what her last name is?
We'd like to look her up on FB or send an email to the DC asking if she's there.

Also, Rita from Portugal on the Edge club... She was so incredible to our 12yo DD. She also only wants to go to a future cruise if Rita's there.

Does anyone know her and/Jo's last name?

TIA

We had Jo on our Alaska cruise last August and I would be thrilled if she was still on the Wonder this coming May! Sorry, don't remember her last name :(

thank you... we also want to go to Alaska this coming August... she was so incredible.
Hope someone can remember her last name so we can email DCL

She said her name was Jo Slow, and I assume that's her real name. I was also on that cruise and had seen her on the previous Panama Canal cruise too. She is the best! I swear that she could make anything entertaining - even that awful magician that they had on board. I've never seen an entertainer that bad on a Disney cruise before - and it wasn't just me, as everyone one else I encountered thought the same. Jo could have made it lots of fun by heckling him though! :)

I don't know Jo's last name but I still wrote to DCl saying how amazing that she was. I simply wrote my sailing dates, the ship and that she was Jo The Club Host. I'm certain that DCL will know who that is from my description. I agree. This girl is very very well loved and deservedly so.

Was she on the Fantasy around 4 years ago or has she always been on the Wonder? Hope she is still on the Wonder when we sail next February.

Trust me, if you say Jo from the Wonder everyone will know who you are talking about. She is awesome.

She used to be on the Magic.

In my office, I have a coworker who used to be employed by Disney (as an engineer for the greater Disney Corp). After our first cruise, I was raving about the incredible service when she encouraged me to write an email extolling the virtues of our CMs who took care of us. Apparently, independent feedback in addition to the end of cruise surveys is a big feather in the cap of the CMs; they get bonuses and awards for such praise.

Jo is the best! We had so much fun on our Alaskan cruise last August and she was the biggest reason why. Near the end of the cruise we went to the pub for trivia but no one was there to lead it. We waited for like 20 minutes before Jo came running in. Apparently she over-slept but no one cared because we all loved her so much by then!

Hope to do another cruise with her again soon!

We just got off the Wonder this past Sunday and Jo was the club host. I have been searching all week for her schedule or something because we want to book another cruise that she’s on. She was also the club host on the Magic when we sailed for our honeymoon in 2014. We played Match Your Mate as 4 day old newlyweds lol.

She does introduce her name as Jo Slo and I wonder if Jo is short for Joanne and/or Slo is short for Sloan, but I haven’t had much luck.

I’ve seen somewhere people post the cruise director for the different sailings, but not many people know which staff will be where.

Just to let you know, if you contact DCL to try to find out a crew member's schedule, they won't share it with you. To know when someone is sailing, you do either have to have contact with them directly (through social media, email, etc.) or check boards like this to see if anyone has seen them lately. (There is a thread about Where's my favorite Crew Member and I think there may be another one specifically for Cruise Staff.)

It is still very difficult to plan a cruise (especially if you are planning well in advance to get good fares) and be sure the crew member you want to see will be onboard. Even if you checked on this cruise what their upcoming plans were, things happen. Their contracts may be extended so their expected break time would also be shifted. They may unexpectedly need to move to another ship to fill in.

There are many crew members we are close to, but when planning our cruises, we schedule for us. If our favorite crew members are onboard too, that's a bonus. Otherwise, we meet new fantastic crew members. If you are going to schedule a cruise around someone specifically, before you book, consider how disappointed you would be if they aren't there.

So much this. What if something happened - like a death in the family - and they happen to not be on board YOUR week. Or are transferred on short notice? Both of those can happen.

And even if they are on board, there are no guarantees you will have them for a server, etc. even if you request it.

Jo really is fantastic. We have had the pleasure of sailing with her many times...most recently on the Wonder Southern Caribbean Cruise in January. She always make Match Your Mate a hoot.

Yeah she does! We also did 90’s Music Trivia, WonderQuest, and 80’s Flashback with her. She’s such an amazing person!

My Dad and I just got off the Wonder March 15 did a 7 night and 4 night back-2-back and Jo was great. My dad and I really liked here. Loved the trivia because of her. Hope to sail with her again, which I know might be a challenge. I do talk with friends Drew, DJ Alex, and Tamsin all of who know her so hoping to find out if she'll be on future cruises since they all move around

Bit late to the party, but Jo is Joanne Slocombe. Two transatlantic cruises with Jo as Club Host - she is the best!
