Disney has subscribed to the social media advertising which is better to always be talking than only have really important things to say. When I worked in the financial services industries we had a lot of marketing people come in and talk to us about social media advertising and to get people to follow you they expect you actually say things they expect tweets and post everyday. So gone are the days of large campaigns or large announcements in are new cupcakes fresh overlays and limited time magic. Even Disney Side is a social media idea which lets them have material daily.
As for the Jingle Cruise I liked it for what it was. I don't think I wanted to see Santa hats on all the animals or anything of the sort but it came off true to the backstory that the skippers got bored and wanted to celebrate Christmas. I actually wish they did other attractions like this, not to much that it takes away from the classic attraction, but different enough that you know your there for Christmas.
