Jingle Bell Jingle BAM Show at DHS with Dessert Party Details POST 8

With a little tweaking of just about everything, night two of the dessert party went much smoother than it did on opening night. More tweaks to come though.
If I were first inclined to book the JBJB party, and did, I'd go with my initial instinct and keep the rez. But I wouldn't feel bad if I canceled because there's a long line of people wanting it.
could you elaborate on the tweaks?

Mostly things involving guest flow inside and outside the venue.
Some of the tables for guests with ECVs were relocated in order to improve entering and maneuvering within the venue.
The check-in process and post check-in Que line were somewhat improved. Although it was much better, it still needs work as the Que line got way too long before the venue opened, which resulted in a guest getting very vocal and accusing a CM/leader of being rude. Hope it wasn't me.
thank you.

One thing I forgot to mention about the party (and this may have been a change since night one) is that the party area is very dark - even the managers that were there monitoring had to use their cell phone lights to see what items on the buffets needed to be refilled. Just thought it might be helpful knowledge...

I hope they tweak the show by adding more fireworks. It seems like all the reviews have the fireworks as being very minimal. Crossing my fingers....

That is shorts and tank top weather where I'm from!! :p

That all depends on what weather we're coming from. If it's early September and we've been used to 85+ degrees and we suddenly have a 66 degree day, brrr... Otoh, if it's March or April and we're just beginning to thaw out from winter and it suddenly hits 66... shave the legs and grab the shorts, Baby! It's a heat wave!

I am curious to know about EVC and how the seating is for the show. I take my dad who scooters. And watching parades etc is hard in an EVC when people are right in front of you-- you can not see over their heads. For some strange reason when we do fireworks we always see to end up in back of some tall guy who needs to put hhis kids on his shoulders and my dad cant see

They have a reserved area for ecv and wheel chairs, in the front with a walkway that serves as a buffer

what tweaks are coming? can you say?

I'm in because I promised it to my kiddo and he is not super critical of things, plus a big group of us from the DIS are meeting up to par-tay :banana::banana:

we will try to not be too rowdy.

I'll stick with it, because our youngest loves Prep and Landing and it's a fun NYE celebration activity for us. I'm not super crazy about the menu - preferred the simple snacks at the Star Wars dessert party - the cheese, fruit, olives, biscuits seem to go better with desserts than this assortment. I do love the drink selection - the gingerbread drink looks great and then I appreciate some plain non-sparkling wine. I can only drink one syrupy drink and then I'd prefer something more simple. Santa Goofy is fine, but I was actually hoping for Lanny and Wayne. We'll probably love the show because we love all things Prep and Landing and will be sure not to compare it to Star Wars!

Hopefully the reported 7min wait for a drink is one of those improvements. Was really hoping for better reviews. Hoping they improve.

I'm sort of torn about this as I hope it's great in person but I'm underwhelmed with the video I've seen. I have this booked in early Dec but I have to say that the fireworks seemed sort of imbalanced... the left side seemed to be stuff that went straight up (left side) and weren't very interesting and the right side had the more engaging stuff.

I'm not sure why but I was thinking/hoping that maybe one of the "spirited" drinks should have been a hot drink for the christmas party.

Keeping our reservation but a bit disappointed as when we were there in May we saw how awesome Symphony in the Stars was --- and it was a REALLY well done show. I'm not sure if it's just me but the laser projections are not a replacement for an awesome fireworks show -- so maybe this is why I'm not thrilled about this one.
