Jingle Bell Jingle Bam Dessert Party 2017

We have our reservations for Dec 10th. My mom was so excited as this was her favorite Christmas show last year. I'm hoping the new additions make it even better!

Looking for opinions on this one. Can anyone give me their experience from last year. My husband and I are taking a quick 5 day trip by ourselves in November and we were thinking about skipping Hollywood Studios all together (we were there with the kids in June). Now I am on fence about giving up Hollywood and maybe doing the dessert party for the show. We will not have park hoppers this trip.

It's hard to say because Disney said they will improve the show over last year. By how much I don't know. Reviews of last years Jingle Bells Jingle Bam weren't great, but the dessert party was well received.

The dessert party looks like a lot of fun ,if you don't go expecting a fireworks show and you know it's mostly projections and lasers , I think it will great ,they also added movie magic , I havent seen that , so it's 2 shows , it's Christmas , so festive , looks amazing , you get glasses that lets you see things around you in 3-d also ...

From the time guests are allowed into the party area until the end of the JBJB show will be close to 2 hours.

So we're going Dec 15th and it says 5:00 pm show and that the area opens up at 4:45. Someone else said the show is 14 minutes so how is it 2 hours? Am I missing another show or something?

You start the party before the show , and they added 10 more minutes of show with movie magic , your gettin an hour to eat your 80 dollars worth before the show

Anyone know who the "VIP Disney character" is? That's a pretty cool addition to a dessert party. I reserved it on 12/31 (had to cancel 'Ohana, but my kids will like this better).

EDIT -- looks like the character was there in 2016, and was santa goofy. I should have googled first.

The party is at 6:30 until Dec 14th, then it's at 5:00 until the 30th. It's at 6:30 on the 31st.

Hmmm, do you know why the time change? And what does a 6:30 JBJB party mean for Star Wars fireworks? We're there Dec 9-16 & really hoping to see those.

Star Wars won't be on the days your there , I saw a Disney post saying that Star Wars will be back near the end of December

So, if we have the dessert party, and it ends before SWaGS starts, can we stay in the space where we watched the JBJB and other show? For end of December, when we are going, dessert party says at 5, and SWGs is at 10, at close.

Unlikely

thanks. I meant the viewing area, not where the food/party is.
That's what I thought you meant. I could be wrong as I've heard nothing about that, but it wouldn't be fair to the SW party guests that the area is that much more crowded because people from the JBJB party are being allowed in. Also, there is a 3-1/2 hour gap between shows so I doubt that area will remain closed off. If correct, you'd have to re-enter after it's roped off.

Thanks. So do think there will also be a SWaGs party too? Hmmm, I think my kids would rather do that one than the holiday one. Not planning on 2 nights at HS.
