DArn I remebered to start a December thread for teh main WISH team area. Forgot to look for a December Warrior thread. :( Hoping this bump helps others.

Hurray, it's December, Warriors!

That's pretty much all I have to say, today. I planned to get a run in today, but had to take Sasha to the vet early this morning (yeast infection in her ear! ouch!), and then had my own doctor's appointment, and now I'm off to go chase 14 elementary school girls around a field. I try not to run in the dark (because downtown Seattle isn't a wonderful fairyland), but I might get a trip in to the gym in the evening, but we'll see. My motto right now is "don't push it!" so I'm not feeling too guilty.

Sarah -Good motto! (What'sa motto? I don't know, what's a motto you? :rotfl:) SOrry, getting tired and punchy.

Tracy - My miles are in! Thansk for forcing me to upload my Garmin. It needed it! Thans for all you do!!!!

Did 40 min of yoga. Felt good. Been way too long.

Aloha Warriors. New month, new miles. I guess I started the month out right. Another 8 1/4 miles.

I'm ready for Honolulu Marathon in 12 days. Waivers in hand, and just waiting for the Expo, and the carb loading party at Doc Scaff's house. Always good food, good music, and great friends. (Hey Marcia, two years now you've missed out).

Have a good Wednesday everyone!

Jeff - Sounds like fun! Well, al but that runnign 26.2 part. ;)

I di d40 min of yoga last night. It had been wayyy too long. felt good. Now, hopefully my 40 min run will go by as quickly!

Helloooooo Warriors!

I can't believe it's December and we have only 34 more days until the Goofy starts.:cool1:

Jeff - Don't remind me! Take a picture of the Beatles cover band with all the WISHER's with you. LOL, love that band.

Carrie- too funny!

For some reason, I cannot stop reading the WISH board today.;)

The cover band is called Rubber Sole.

And you must really be bored if you're reading that non-sense that everyone is replying to in the other thread. IT'S A WASTE OF TIME PEOPLE, you know who it is creating the controversy.

My advice "Keep moving along, there's nothing to see here."

Happy Snow Day Warriors.............. !!

It's frosty, frigid December in Florida. High temp today was a chilly 79 degrees!!! Winter parkas for us all!!!!

Yesterday I did my 1st post-Thanksgiving 1/2 M run. 3.25 in 30 mionutes. Today I had this grand glorious plan of doing a day of "mile repeats" (kinda' like an interval workout with mile intervals......). But 15 minutes into the run I was hit by sudden attack of terminal laziness & said "screw it, I'm tired (& lazy) today & I. Am. Done.

Theeeeeeen, later on this afternoon I stumbled across the "Excuse me, Sir, I seem to have lost my motivation" thread. After reading some of that, the little voice in my head (the responsible one, not the lazy one) very quietly said to me "GET YOUR LAZY A** OFF THE SOFA AND GET TO WORK!!!! NOW!!!!!!!!"

So, after deciding there was nothing significant I could do about my overall speed in the next 4 weeks, I DID get out, and using the Run 9/Walk 1 minute strategy, put in 8.4 miles in 1:28. Just a little bit slower than my hopeful Marathon pace, but otherwise pretty good.

So. There you have it. You guys guilted me into working today. Again.

You guys ROCK!!!

Now I just need to keep the foot healthy & get some LR's in and we should be set. Hopefully.

Total of 10.25 today

Happy Christmas Month!!!!
Yep in my world Christmas lasts for a whole month of excitement, wrapping and friendliness :)

Altho.... went to see Scrooge in 3D last night and was terrified :eek:apart from the last 5-10 mins it was scary. I really wouldn't take small children to see it, I was lying in bed with some of the images in my head! Nothing a whole day of statistics hasn't fixed today tho :rotfl:

great to see you could be guilted into running Jim he he.

Marcia it's funny how you can be drawn in to disboards some days!

I had a quick gym trip in my lunch break to cover just over 4 miles. Painful and hot- thought i'd run in thick tracksuit bottoms to make me feel something like the humidity. Ha i'm such a fool!

Hope this month brings happiness and health to every one of you (tracy especially )

Morning Warriors!

Jim - nice! Way to get out there, nothing like a little guilt will get you out on the road or to the gym. :rotfl:

I saw the preview for scrooge at D23 it looked really good, it is on my must see this Holiday Season.

Jeff - I also read the budget board all the time! LOVE that board, I got some great shopping tips and coupons on that thread.

The budget board also has a fridge/coffee maker swap if anyone is looking for those while they are at WDW.

Tracy - I promise to get my miles&times in tonight.

Have a great day everyone!

Kate: Ewww! Warm sticky workouts are the worst.... particularly when you're indoors!

Jim: I'm feeling so bad for you poor freezing Floridians that I think I will need to mail y'all my own parka and winter boots. 39 degrees here according to the car at sunset. Brrrrr!

Carrie: I need to get back into yoga - it feels so good!

As for me.... well, my goal of finishing the Disney marathon in under 5 hours is now reduced to, "just finish ahead of the sweepers!". And I couldn't be happier. I found out that I am pregnant a couple weeks ago, and had my first appointment with my doctor earlier in the week. I'll only be in my 11th week by the time marathon weekend comes around, so I'm still planning on doing the Goofy. Like Roxy, I was told that running is fine (actually, a great idea!) but that I need to watch my heart rate to make sure that it is not elevated for an extended amount of time. It looks like I can keep it down low enough with a jog 3 minutes, walk 2 minutes pattern, so I'm going to try to keep that up. But it does mean that I've now dropped to a 14:00 mile. Oh well, I'm getting over it. :rotfl: DH and I are not telling anyone beyond immediate family right now because it's so early, but I'm making a WISH exception. Let's face it, it's greatly impacting my running and my goals, awfully close to Marathon Weekend, and also there is a good chance I'll have to explain to someone in January why I'm sitting out for EE. :goodvibes

I'm also pushing my 20 miler up to this weekend. I'm scheduled for 19 miles, but I really want to make sure I do get my 20 mile training run in - it's a psychological thing. And I have no idea how I'll feel in two weeks when I have the 20 mile scheduled.... so best case scenario, I do it twice. Worst case... at least I got it in, even if it was early.

Have a great Friday, Warriors!

Congratulations Sarah!! That is great news!!

-Tracy

Sarah, congratulations to you and your husband. Wow, that was fast! :lmao::thumbsup2

Congratulations Sarah!!

Tracy - 86.5 miles / 19:15:00 for November. Thank you!

Once I get off work today, I'm headed home to pack for Vegas for my first full. If I don't post next week, you'll know I'm lost in the desert!

Congratulations Sarah!

Tracy - I know promised I would get my numbers in last night, but I'm not feeling well so I went to be really early! I have half my miles at work and half at home, so I'll try to post them tonight.

Michelle- Good luck this weekend! Dress warm, I heard there it's going to be cold. Layers, mittens and don't forget your garbage bag for the start. Say hi to everyone!

Hi, just checking in and putting us up at the top....who the heck cares what SFB thinks!!!

Love you Tracy, you're the best and don't forget that!

I'm here, I'm here! Yes, I am *still* a Warrior!

Ok,our wonderful Tracey needs miles and minutes from me for like 3 months...so here they are!

September = 81.5 miles; 18 hours
October = 131 miles; 26 hours
November = 122 miles; 20.5 hours

Phew! I think I am actually up to date!
