We will be staying at AKL Dec. 10th-14th. I have PS's for both restaruants, but I have a feeling I won't be able to make it to one of them (too much already planned).

If it comes down to chooses between Jiko or Boma, which should I choose?

I will have 2 kids with me, but they are very well behaved at sit-down restaurants, so this isn't a concern. Also, we will be eating breakfast at Boma while we are there.

Thanks for the input!

since you are already eating at boma's for breakfast, i would suggest dining at jiko's. we have eaten there twice and it is excellent. the macaroni and cheese w/the steak is fabulous and my husband does not even care for mac and cheese that much. he ate every bit of it! give it a try; i think you will be glad you did.

I would choose Jiko; I was not impressed with Boma's atmosphere, food, or value, but Jiko is among my favorite WDW restaurants.

Both Jiko and Boma are excellent...and we have had dinner at boma and then breakfast there the next morning...great experiences both times...menus not alike...so don't worry about that. Jiko is great also.

I would choose by how much time you have for dinner. Jiko is going to take you a couple of hours from start to finish...very relaxing...no rushing. Great wine list.

Boma will take you a good hour...just because there is so much good food to keep trying...no rushing there either. You can also have wine/beer here with your dinner.

Which ever one you choose, you will enjoy it!

WE just ate at Jiko last week and really enjoyed the meal. There was no wait and we were not rushed. It was very relaxing and the food was excellent. There was a wait for Boma and it was noisy and crowded, so if you want a more relaxed and quiet dinner do Jiko.

I think I'm going to definately do Jiko!! On one of the other nights if it's not too late, I'll try for Boma. I really want to try both, but I think I rather have a quite less hectic dinner at Jiko's.

Thanks for the input!! I can't wait to out trip. I'm getting restless :( .

Thanks again!

You may not care about cost, but it's interesting that with a family, it may actually cost less to eat at Jiko! With recent price increases, Boma is now $24 for adults and $10 for children. And if any of your children are 12 or older they will pay the adult price...

We had dinner there a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed it! The service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I had the filet which was great, but I didn't like the mac and cheese. I ordered the African sampler appetizer platter-thing, and all of us enjoyed the samples! btw, all four of us got free glasses of house wine (I liked the merlot that I had) with a Disney Club card. It probably paid for the membership just with the wine!
