Jetty Park (near port canaveral)- what to do?

I saw the Jetty Park on a map recently near the port but was not sure what this park had to offer. Are we able to swim at the park; is there manatee viewing here, etc? Any suggestions, tips and so forth about Jetty Park would be much appreciated. We will be staying at the new RonJon resort for a day before sailing and thought the park might be nice to visit with the kiddies.

Jetty park is a great place to go and watch the cruise ships leave. It is more like a campground or picnic type park. Their web page is:

Jettypark.com however I have not been able to get it to load recently (maybe you will have better luck.)
