Anyone have any thoughts on the pros/cons of either of these airlines out of Newark?

Who charges for baggage?

It will be my first time flying out of Newark for this trip, and I am just curious. Both have the same times we want to fly, early AM on a Sunday.

Thanks!:worship:

I've always had better luck with CO fares from EWR, but remember they charge for luggage. One of these days we'll fly Jetblue, but so far we stick with the best fares.

Jetblue has free (1 bag) luggage and they have those in seat entertainment screens.

We love both of them actually. But our last trip 2 weeks ago we chose Jet Blue because of the tvs in the backs of the seats and the fact that the first checked bag is free.

I found JB to be very comfortable with the leather seats. I was in a middle seat and it seemed like there was more room on a JB middle seat. They offer a variety of snacks and drinks and you can have as much as you want. Both flights were great and actually took off and landed early (I realize that isn't always the airline's doing. There are other factors that go into delayed flights).

My only complaint is that JB out of Newark doesn't have as many destinations as we would like. In those cases, we go with Continental.

This is my first time flying JB.... for my trip CO was 238 PP and JB was 179 PP and JB has 1 checked bag free.... hopefully it won't be a bad experience....

I love CO, but I hate EWR, I always seem to get delayed. That said, if I was flying coach and wasn't planning on upgrading, I'd choose JetBlue over CO.

I have flown both airlines from EWR to MCO and I prefer JetBlue. The screens on the back of the seats are great as is having all the drinks and snacks you want. There is more leg room on the JB planes and it's great not to get charged for your first checked bag (we usually bring an almost empty bag to bring back souvenirs).
