Jetblue tomorrow

My date is same as lindsmom. Last day of April vacation. The 23rd. I only needed one way and I was on to book right at noon. Flights were $706 one way!

Looks like I'll be waiting for Southwest. Their bookings open on 8/4 for anyone interested.

I am keeping my eyes on these flights like a hawk and guess I will play the waiting game. Sad that the last 5-6 years we didnt have to do this. Ijust booked JB day of release and got great prices. SO now we watch and see if they go down or SW has them for significantly less. I hate the anxiety that comes with SW boarding, its not fun for our son.

2300.00+ round trip for 3. :crazy2: Not happening. That made me appreciate this years 882.00 round trip, thanks to the Google flights fiasco, even more. :cutie:

last year we paid 1000.80 for 4 of us RT and the price I'm seeing now is 1,560.60 for 3 ppl RT! But through googleflights same exact times and days is showing $547.00 ***

Is anyone here thinking that maybe the ridiculously high fares are part of JetBlue's usually screwed up release? I checked the return fare to Bos for 5/2 to get an idea of flight times(waiting for 5/3) and they don't even show a nonstop flight so I am thinking that this is just another not so smooth fare release. I am waiting a day or two to book our flights down. Its showing $182 with one checked bag but maybe will change once it settles down.

I agree, this seems to happen during every release. I sit back and wait a couple of weeks and things calm down and the prices go back to normal. My rates are showing a lower price with only 1 seat available for that price. If you check the seating map, you'll see the plane is empty and not one seat has sold yet. I'll wait.....as always

I called JetBlue today because I thought the same thing, but many of the flights actually filled up fairly quickly. We usually fly from Syracuse to Orlando for somewhere around 1,400 - 1,600 for the three of us RT. SYR flights were OUTRAGEOUS Presidents weekend in Feb. so we ended up booking from Albany and save about $900. Last year, we were part of the google flights "free candy" promotion and got three RT flights for $789...that will never happen again. So, we ended up booking today for a grand total of $1,640. Not great, but they are non-stops and on the days we could work with, so all-in-all, not bad.

That's good to know! I just booked yesterday SYR to Orlando for $1650 for 4 RT. This will be our first family trip, and I haven't flown in YEARS so I was unsure whether I was getting a good deal or not. Since they are direct flights and we are flying during Easter with a 4 and 6 year old, I decided to book it.

After checking prices for other dates on JetBlue, I don't feel there will be much if any downward movement so I went ahead and bought our flights down from BOS to MCO for $182.00. We are returning on either 5/2 or 5/3 so will have to wait for that leg to be released. Our roundtrip budget for airfare was $400.00 each so we are under budget. Good Luck to everyone else here!

We've gone with Jetblue the 2 years we've gone to WDW, March '14 & '15. It was worth the drive down to Portland ME and Boston from New Brunswick Canada, but I priced Jetblue for our trip this March and it looks like prices have increased. Add in the crappy exchange on our $ and I think I'll be flying Westjet out of Canada. I can get a great direct flight that arrives mid-morning and return is around 9:30pm, so that gives a lot of extra time at the parks. I'll save a couple nights in a hotel as well. Hopefully our $ will increase and Jetblue will make sense again as I really enjoyed their service.

Albany to Orlando during President's week here too - $500 one-way makes me feel a lot better about the $300 (sigh) one-way tickets I got from SW last week. No sign of flights going down either, every flight that day is unavailable for the WGA fares.

I checked all the seats on the flight for the days I want to fly; the planes are all empty, even the flights that are listed as sold out are empty.

I ended up booking United again (used United last year). We had always booked Jet Blue previously but the prices have gone up and the United flight times are actually better for us. This is out of Burlington VT. I miss when Jet Blue used to have direct flight Burlington to Orlando!

I agree with others who say to wait. Those fares seem wicked high. I just booked JetBlue out of Boston for early August. I check every morning when I get up. And this morning the flight I wanted (direct) went down in price, booked it for 150. By afternoon, it was back up to the higher fare. Just keep checking often.

I keep looking at those emails and flights. Makes me want to book a trip to Disney in a few weeks. Not gonna happen though!
