Just booked the flights for our June trip. Going for 9 nights at the beginning of June and return flights for two (taxes and all in) was $438.65 US$.

THAT is cheap.. Less than 217$ per head and direct flights to Orlando both ways!

I love not changing planes.

I had an excellent flight out of Portland with JetBlue in November. Great value ... first bag free, free snacks!

Holy smokes, that's amazing...I think that would worth the drive from NS too. Free bag and snacks and no stops? perfect. I'm going to have to start booking flights first and then booking disney to match those dates...it seems a much more strategic way to go.

Well .. by comparison to fly out of Fredericton or Moncton was over $670 per person ! And then I have to change planes in Toronto and deal with the customs at the airport and do the 'luggage haul' between flights and so on.

I hate HATE changing planes and waiting and all that. It makes the flight-time to MCO over 8 hours! Yeechh..

So.. yes.. from here it's about a 4.5 hour drive to Portland... but I am flying for 1/3 the cost of flying out of YFC or YQM. And I don't mind going to Portland the day before my flight.. doing a little shopping.. go out to dinner at Chili's or whatever and then hit the airport nice and refreshed the next morning... with arrival at MCO at 10:30a.

I'll be relaxing at the Dolphin by 1pm at the latest.

I think I could spend the time driving to Portland counting my savings..

You know, Knox, for a 6 and a half hour drive, you could have flown out of Boston. You could have stayed in Boston the night before, did some shopping, and had dinner with a few of your favorite co-moderators ;)
