What great news!! It looks like initially they're doing 4 flights a day to JFK so you have to connect to wherever you're going to. It would be great to see them eventually add NS flights to MCO!! For the savings we don't mind the 3 hour drive to MHT but I would much prefer to fly out of Portland and we've flown JetBlue before and really like them. We're going to the Virgin Islands in late June and I'm definitely going to start watching their fares to JFK (I would love to pick up a NS out of JFK).

I just checked the website and they're taking reservations but I'm only seeing r/t to JFK ($125/pp). When I try PWM to MCO it only lists the departure flight and it's $344 pp plus taxes!!

Yeah I'm waiting until they open up my travel time (October) to really judge the fares. This was just announced today so I'm sure the system is not 100% for the Portland fares yet?

I am sure they are not going to be able to match Allegiant's fares out of Pease, but even with a connection at JFK, this would be so much more convenient than the drive to either Pease or Manchester.

The other problem with Allegiant is that the flights are at really inconvenient times, they don't fly daily between Pease and Sanford, and the National car rental rate out of Sanford was about 25% higher when I checked, so that eats up some of the savings.

I wish they would come to BDL also. My son and I have both e-mailed Jetblue about coming to BDL. But I think as long as Delta and Southwest fly out of BDL, it won't happen.

I would actually drive to Portland to take Jetblue before I would drive to New York or Boston! I grew up in a small town and hate driving in traffic. Actually, since I drive to just south of Portland every summer, driving to Portland would be a "piece of cake" for me to drive to.

Let's keep hoping that Jetblue will come to BDL!

Question for experienced JetBluers....I was playing around with the fares this morning and while the one-way PWM-MCO fare was coming up as $344 (ugh), if I booked the legs separately (PWM to JFK, then JFK to MCO), the fare would be $173.

Is this typical for JetBlue? I can't see any disadvantage to booking the legs separately?

It is great news for us Mainers. But they still can't beat Allegiant Air even with landing in Sanford. We had a great flight in January and will be using them again soon.

mtdevine615 - How early did you arrive in Portsmouth and again at Sanford? How long was the drive to WDW? How were your flights? Just curious as I'm really leaning towards trying the in August. Any details would be appreciated!!!

I understand they're going to add a route to Vegas from Dulles... but not Orlando. C'mon, all we have left for nonstops from Dulles is freakin' United.
