JetBlue fares dropping for early part of the year...

We purchased our tickets for our Feb 3-6 weekend trip a while ago. Paid $119 down and $99 back. Over the last few weeks, they have been dropping, with the return down as low as $69 at one point. I've been calling and getting credits along the way.

The trip down had gone up to $174 for our flight (over $200 for the flight after ours). I checked over the weekend and they were both down to $99 so another credit in my account. Today I get an email from JetBlue, check again and what do you know? Fare down to $79 across the board. So I have $350 in credit in my account. Of course, I'd rather not have paid the higher price to begin with, but we're travelling again in August so I'll need tickets again and I'll use the credit for those.

So if anyone is looking to head down for a weekend before the President's Day crowds come in, fares are great.

Still $218 round trip for me... the outbound is less expensive than it was, but the return is more expensive, both by less than $15.

We paid $99. each way, now they are $234. and $174. each way.

Usually I'm the one that never sees any drop in price...we've flown JetBlue 4 times this year and my fares never dropped, yet others saw credits often.

I guess they are offering some great fares from Newark at this point. Sorry you weren't able to get any break, but if you got a decent fare to start, at least you didn't wait and aren't forced to buy them at the high price.

Our net price now is $167.10/rt. I haven't had a price that good since I purchased our Easter '06 tickets back in late '05 (paid $165/rt for those).

Hope they offer some reductions for other airports soon.
