Jetblue boarding row order?

I usually try to grab seats in the from of the plane, but DH would like me to pick seats far back so we can board sooner (as Jetblue boards back to front). Of course, then we're one of the last to deboard. We will be on an Airbus A321, with 32 rows. Does anyone know if they do like 10 rows at a time? My memory skills leave a lot to be desired. I know this is no biggie in the grand scheme of things, but gives me something distracting to think about while waiting for free dining.

I believe they were doing 5 rows at a time. Since you have assigned seating, it's not a big deal getting on last to sit in the front. But if you need overhead space, chances are that will not be available. If we need overhead, we book 15 or higher. If we don't, then we try to get in the rows between extra leg room (6-9). Of course you can always pay the extra $$ and buy the extra leg room seats. You sit near the front and get on at the beginning.

They board lots of people before they start boarding by row anyway. Those folks in the front, those with mobility issues, those with small children, military. One of my goals is to spend the least amount of time on the plane as possible so i go for the closest to the front without paying extra that i can get. The closer you are to the back the bumpier your ride can be.

Yep, the last time we flew Jet Blue it seemed about 2/3s of the plane was "pre-boarded" before they did it by rows.

It's enough to drive you nutty!!! There are always soooo many 'catagories' of boarding nowadays. By the time I get on the plane, usually seated in midplane, there are about 80 people already on board. And...those people are still standing in the aisle, trying to get situated, or trying to shove their oversize carryon in the overhead bin. There is no reason to have to stand there, waiting for these things. Find your seat, stow your properly sized bag and sit the heck down!!!
It's not rocket science. Oh, and for informational purposes? If you are boarding a plane, or are already seated, and you hear a woman mumbling 'Geez people, it's not rocket science!'? It's probably me..say hi!!!

They gate check your luggage for free.


Jetblue boards Mosiac, extra leg room and even more speed, disability/those who need extra time down the jet way, and families then they start form back to front. Depending on your crew the 3rd set (families and those who need extra time) may be big or small. I've been on flights where they were very strict on the pre-boarding and others where they didn't care. If there are 32 rows it will most likely be 25-32, then 20 and higher, then the teens, then single digits.

Families with children under 2 (sometimes they pay attention to the age of the child, sometimes not)

And then they will start calling row numbers.

I book row 22, always row 22. Never had to gate check. I understand that some won't consider the back of the plane though.

If it doesn't fit under the seat you'll have to gate check it.

We just flew 2-3 weeks ago. They called it by rows of 5 but they called the mosaic/extra room seats and those needed extra assistance first.

We were in rows 7-8 and we were the last to board on our return flight home. I guess everyone was a mosaic member . We did watch someone go up when her row was not called and the FA let them on.
