I was wondering if there were any reviews of this excursion. I just booked DH and I for our November cruise, and I was wondering if it's worth the money. I've seen the pictures on Barb's site and it looks pretty neat, but I was looking for more reviews! THANKS!!!

We really enjoyed it. When we went out I was first behind the guide and he went pretty fast. I had a hard time keeping up as I had never driven one before. No time to practice, just get on and go (after a brief lession on the beach) but coming back I was further back and felt more relaxed. It's very informative and beautiful where they take you out to. I recommend it!

PS: When you get to the sandbar during the tour.. DO NOT touch the sand!!

It's $95 for a single rider jetski and $160 for a double jetski. The tour lasts an hour, and we're looking forward to it!!!!

Is this new? I don't remember it when we were on the Wonder. My DH will have a fit if he missed it!!

Two things:

A) Is this a JETSKI or a SEADOO? I know with Jetskis youre standing up the whole time you're riding it, aren't you??? Or do you sit down on this one?

B) Why shouldnt you touch the sand?

We did this on our August 21 cruise. We rented two doubles. My hubby and my nephew (15) were on one and my daughter and I on the other. We had conflicting opinons on this excursion.

My husband and nephew really enjoyed. They went fast and loved the speed. My daugher, who is 9, was scared. I had a hard time keeping up with the guide and was always the last one in our group. Not a horrible thing, but with her being scared, it made me uncomfortable. I was scared I was going to tip us over or go to fast for her. Part of the problem was she had to sit behind me.

All in all, I am glad we did it. I'm not sure I would do it again (probably not). We did get some beautiful photos while out there so don't forget your water camera.

Enjoy!

Mary

Can someone send me the site/pictures or anything about this excursion. I dont recall an excursion involving jet skis when I went back in January. Are they the sit down ones??? and I will repeat the question...why not touch the sand???

Thanks in advance....:)

They are the sit down kind.
Don't know about the sand, unless it's because of crabs. My husband did this and has a photo of himself holding a crab on the sand bar.

Some kinda fish poops in the sandbar or something... I forget, the sunburn got to my head LOL :teeth:

They were SeaDoos. They had us get off on the sand bar so we had no choice but to touch the sand, nothing happened to us! Didn't hear anything about not touching it!

If I can recall correctly what our guide told us on that tour...
I believe he said that the Parrot Fish feeds off the coral and poops out a tiny, rocky substance. If he had not mentioned it, we would not have realized it wasn't a sand bar.

Can you book this ahead of time? I called the excursion desk today and was told we could rent them on the beach but there wasn't an excursion to sign up for ahead of time.

Thanks,
Van

Yep, I booked it on Thursday. It's called the Personal Watercraft Eco Tour.
