Hi, We have always flown on Continental, but the fare on Jet Blue for March 2012 is almost half the price. For those of you who use Jet Blue have you been happy with the service? Is there anything different than Continental that we should be aware of like carry on policies, checking in etc.

Thanks :)

We *love* jetBlue. They allow you to check one bag free, which is a huge savings in comparison with many other airlines, and their seats seem to me to have more legroom and include in-flight TVs for everyone. That last fact (the TVs) make jetBlue my sons' favorite airline, hands down!

Once you go jet blue you'll never go back!! I adore Jet Blue ...its so nice. The free bag ...the free name brand snacks and full can of soda ..the pilots are always nice ..the tv is HEAVEN!! Im sooo nervous but once i get into a tv show i relax.

We've only flown on Jet Blue once and we enjoyed them. We don't usually book them because they're usually more expensive than either Air Tran or SW but for next spring break they had a comparable price to what AT had (comparing like times and non-stop). I booked last Friday and the AT price has gone up by about $50 pp but JB has stayed the same. Glad we had the opportunity to book JB again. Best things about them: 1 free checked bag pp (AT charges for bags), assigned seats (which cost extra on Air Tran and aren't avail. on SW), nice leather seats, good leg room and indivual TV's in every seatback. Once you fly them once you'll probably think Continental is the budget airline. :thumbsup2

We absolutely LOVE JetBlue! They are by far hands down our favorite airline. Good customer service, minimal time changes (in my experience), great in-flight experience especially with TVs in each seat, one checked bag for free, seat assignments for free, and they give credits if the price drops. Love them!

For some crazy reason we flight out on Continental and return back on Jet Blue I'm assuming you'll be leaving out of Newark -
I hate the waiting area for Jet Blue its outdated and always seems like there are too many people It's nothing like Terminal C but with that being said on a return trip we recently tried their extra extra leg room seats and just fell in love! I love that you can watch TV or listen to satelitte radio all the way until you land and the snacks are good now I want some Blue chips right about now!!

I forgot to mention my favorite thing about jetBlue - their refund policy! If you book a flight with jetBlue and the fare goes down, they will actually refund the additional money into a travelbank which you can use towards a future flight. The first time we flew with jetBlue, we purchased flights at $210 per person for 4 of us and later the fare went down to $145 a few weeks later - they put the $260 into the travelbank for us, and it paid for 1.5 tickets on our next trip to Orlando!

You can use yapta.com, which will "watch" your fare for you and tell you when there has been a reduction in your fare and you can call for the refund.

There are TVs at every seat -- but don't forget your headphones.

If you do forget, there should be a self-service bin in the gate area.

And if you still forget, you can purchase them onboard, but the flight attendants won't be able to do it immediately. So you'll be sitting there unhappily while everyone else is watching TV.

Also, if you purchase anything on board (such as headphones), you must pay with a credit card. No cash purchases on board.

We love them. we so missed our tvs and blue chip last mont hwhen we flew with us airways. The tvs make it for a flight to go by so fast. I promessed myself that I would only fly with them from now on regardless of the price.

We may be using JetBlue for our next trip to Disney since Delta has stopped all non-stops at our local airport. My question is, since we have never used them, when do they open up flights? We are looking for next Aug. and they are currently only booking through 4/30 - any estimate of when Aug. dates would be available. I'm used to booking Delta at the 330 day mark so this is all new to me.

They open them up in chunks, like Southwest...I think two month chunks.

I expect the next set of dates to open up any day now...so that would open up through the end of June. Two months more and we'll be at the end of August. So I'd say start watching in 3 months or so.

My DD was so sick last spring break we had to cancel her trip. Jetblue was very nice and issued a credit. I still have to list it on Criags.

I was glad that even though they took a fee out I was offered the credit and can transfer it to anyone. I have never flown JetBlue but I hear good things.

Thanks so much for all the replies. I think I will be booking Jet Blue this weekend for our trip!

I agree with all the wonderful things about Jetblue. I don't think anyone mentioned one of my favorite parts..... Dunkin Donuts coffee. Atleast out of Boston.
