We are staying at VWL for the first week and AKV fr the 2nd week and cannot wait to be there!!!!!!

I am still in the very beginning stages of planning.

Still undecided between escape or custom

Pretty sure I will be going w/ dress#2 the Christina Wu though based on feedback alone so far!!!

Another update by way of planning.

I have decided to let my Matron and Maid pick their own dresses.

They have totally different body types and with all the cost they will be enduring for travel alone, I thought it would be nice for them to pick their own dresses that way they can look for bargains, resales and such. They will get with the groomsmen to match if need be.

And whats more:

I asked them to surprise me! I dont even want to see them until the big day!

They are both very fashion saavy and I trust that they will make wonderful choices!

They are picking the colors too, the only request was that if they go with different colors that they do not clash. ( they will be discussing w/ my mother the color choices so the themed colors all match too)

They really don't have any say in the rest of the planning as we are trying to stay under budget so I thought this would be something fun for them to do that would have a big impact on the wedding

What do you guys think?

I like the idea of letting them pick the dresses. If you trust them, that's a great way for them to pick something they like, look good in, and can maybe wear again. Very cool!

Having a hard time coming up with a theme, and have a MOH that feels she is in charge of all the details?! What!

I love my MOH dearly but she does not understand that a Disney Wedding is not like a regular wedding. Her heart is in the right place but I dont know how to tell her that I am the one working with the wedding coordinator on all the details not her.

The bridal shower is all her, she can go to town on the details but not my Wedding!

Any tips on how to politely tell her that she does not really have a say in the Wedding details....is this how all MOH's are? Maybe thats the "traditional" way but this Cinderella is taking the bull by the horns. Does this make me a "bridezilla"?

I get the feeling this is going to be a nitemare unless I act quickly!

Although for money reasons, I am still waiting on my proposal I am very confident it is coming real soon.

Seeing as how most of our family wont be able to make the trek, we decided to hold several at home mini-parties such as an engagement party.

I have decided on a "Lucky in Love" theme and need ideas!

So far, I have come up with everyone bringing a scratch ticket and a "pot luck" recipe. (with 100 people, we have decent odds of one of the tickets being a winner, right?!)

Chocolate coin favors and playing card place cards

for center pieces I was thinking glass bowls filed with poker chips and Dove heart chocolates....

any more ideas guys?.....

I'm in the planning before engaged club!!! I say it dosn't matter, were in love and we know we are going to get married either why should a diamond stop me!

I took him shopping today and told him i'd buy him a new TV because hes been wanting one that his playstation 3 technology would work on. (i have no idea). Anyway...it was kind of like a thing "your new 42" HDTV, the screen really sparkles now you owe me something that sparkles.

Ya well that was unnecessary, I found out just a little while ago that he already bought the ring a couple weeks ago. I know what it looks like and all because I picked it out but I didn't think he bought it at all. So as much as i'd like to be proposed to in Disney in may when we go, it would be really nice to have it before christmas so I can show it off. So we will have to wait and see.
