Jennifer & Daniel's PJ-WP/Ariels/SCP-6/14/10- DP &MK Pics,album,HM TR - updated 1/25

The room sounds great it's good you got what you wanted and it will work well with your wedding location.

Yes the cost to alter the dress does seem high but it will be worth it. :)

Can't wait to see you in it. My Sister had an Alfred Angelo dress for her wedding. :flower3:
I was surprised how easy booking the room was. I just sent Jessie an email and that was it!

What bothered me about the altering was that I barely had anything fixed yet it costs so much. Oh well. As long as my dress looks great I don't care.

I didn't get any great pictures of me in the dress so I can't post pics but when I go for my final fitting on May 27 I'll have pics.

I am not sure why I never posted on here....so I am fixing that! (especially because we are down there at the same time!) Everything looks great!

yikes! I guess the bustle price isn't horrible (I paid $40 with an outside seamstress) but $50 to tighten the straps!? That does seems very pricey...oh well, I think that's the nature of dress alterations! :sad2:

I am paying $50 for the bustle on my AA dress but it's not an AA store doing the alterations (as there aren't any in Canada) so the lasy who runs the store I went to does everything.

:welcome::wave2: Thank you!!

Just thank God you did not have to have more done to it.:scared1:

Kristine
I know, when I left I told my mom, "Thank God the dress was so cheap or I'd really be upset!"

The prices wouldn't bother me alone but they add labor on top of the initial price so it's $50+labor for the straps.:eek:

That's a good price. What kind of bustle are you getting?

I'm not sure in all honesty I think it was French becasue I remeber her saying that she thinks they look better.

So this afternoon my mom was talking to me about a welcome party, we were initially just having people come by to hang at the pool with us and maybe put some trays out from publix. But I was worried that we'd be hassled or told to leave so I didn't want to even chance it.

When I mentioned that we could have a dessert party she got so excited and offered to pay for it! So I emailed my planner to see if Sago Cay is available for the night before our wedding for a DP. Hopefully it is and we can use that as our welcome party!

Now, can I build my own menu because I dont want a TON of desserts? Maybe a white and dark chocolate fondue, the dipping trays and cheesecake lollipops. Then have coffee and water. It's late so I don't want too much food for 10pm Wishes and have it go to waste.

Let's cross our fingers that it's available!!

Ohhh a desert party! Very exciting! We aren't doing one so I cannot help you with the menu, but I just wanted to comment on how exciting it is. Have fun planning!

A dessert party sounds awesome!!!

Just as a heads up I don't think Disney does the fondue... Someone on these boards told me it was a sanitation issue. Our planner was not thrilled about us having one. More importantly did you see the disaster that our fountain caused? I might rethink that one - but there are so many awesome desserts. Ask if you can just order of the in-room dining menu. They have lots of yummy things. :)

I did see your disaster! The pictures were great!

On one of the DP menus from Disney Catering they lists a fondue station so I'm hoping it's still available.

So I was initially just going to have people meet us by the pool and hang on Sunday but I do not want to have to worry about providing all the food and drinks on my own so I just told my mom, who was hosting it, to just forget it.

Well she said that she had heard that they have Dessert Parties and why weren't having one? LOL! SO I told her that they are a bit pricey and we couldn't afford it, well she said, "take the money from my savings account, is $1000 enough?" :woohoo:

So I emailed Carol over the weekend and she emailed me today that Sago Cay Point was available and that she would get back to me with a price for the menu we selected.

Danny and his guy friends (my girl friends' husbands ;) ) are planning on going to the Orlando Ice Bar that night and made it very clear that no girls were allowed so I told Danny that no boys were allowed at this ;) So he and his friends will be doing that and my girl friends and his and my families will be at a yummy dessert party! I think it's a fair trade :rolleyes1

If you can, let me know how much everything comes out to for the dessert party? We would really want to have one but can not spend more then $1500...

The menu we're looking at is $30pp plus 21% service charge and 6.5% tax. Our number is 25 adults so that equals $966.50. Our total guest count is 34 but 8 guys will be going to the bar with Danny so they will not be attending.

Isn't their a fee to use Sago Cay or to have the wishes music?

There's a setup fee for Sago Cay, $75, and we are not piping in the music. It's a bit steep at $500.

I just got my revised BEO in and it's at $976.14 for 26 adults at $26.75pp. We modified menu #3.
