Yeah, it's only small because I had to pay the minimum expenditure (the bulk of the cost) back in March lol!

It's so close!!
Don't panic. I couldn't panic only because Danny was panicking enough for the both of us, lol. He hasn't used credit cards in over 4 years so charging our wedding payments (the deposit we paid cash, the $9000 for the remaining expenditure we paid with our credit card and $6000 in cash from tax returns, then the $4000+ we put on the credit card) was a HUGE deal to him!

I'm a teacher (not well paid but making enough) and Danny's is a paramedic working 2-20 hour over night shifts and then is an EMT tech at a hospital 3 days a week. We make decent money, enough to live in a nice area and have new-ish(cheap) cars... so we just sacrificed everything else, lol! We don't eat out, we haven't taken a vacation in over a year, we pinch pennies where we can (like couponing at the grocery store) and because we charged the wedding to the credit card we've gotten a ton of points/cash as rewards. We've gotten at least $500 in cash rewards from the credit card and we have enough points to cover our Disneyland area hotel when we go to Cali in August to visit friends

I knew we would go a bit into debt for this dream wedding but I made sure to do it smartly. We now have a $4000 balance on our CC but we earned well over $500 in cash rewards and at least 5 nights of hotel in points, if not more. I'm very happy with that. And come the end of this year if we continue to be penny pinchers we'll have this remaining debt paid off!

You can do it! You just have to prioritize your expenses, which you need and which you can either cut down/live without. I knew I wanted a WDW Wedding and when Danny agreed to upgrade to a Wishes package, we sat down and made a budget that we were both comfortable with.

So this morning we went and applied for our marriage license! They wouldn't let us take a picture bc they have a photographer that charges for it. I was sad but oh well, I'll have tons of pics from the wedding!

And...

1 month until our DFTW!!!!

It's cute, we got our license exactly 1 month before the wedding, lol.

It's funny, but I wasn't excited until this morning when we were raising our right hands and swearing over the license, LOL!!

You have an Oct date!? I love October in FL! Last Oct was SOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT, but it's usually so perfect and cool at night and comfy during the day. I wanted Oct at first but I'm a teacher so the summer was our only option.

I love Florida in October too. I was there last year at the start of October (when we got engaged ) and it was soooooo hot! The times before when we visited in October were never that hot! Can't wait to get the date pencilled in and start planning!

I went to WDW in the beginning of Oct too, we go every year for my birthday. FL was having record heat that month. Here in Miami we were breaking heat records almost everyday of the month, and when we went to WDW it was just as warm. Imagine MNSSHP in a polyester costume in 90 degree heat?! Awful!

I know! I don't know how they cope in those costumes in the hot weather! We're hoping to do a fireworks cruise on the evening of the wedding, do think our guests will be warm enough when we're out on the water? Wishes is at 9pm in Oct I think?

When it's normal weather I usually just wear a light jacket or hoodie at night in Oct. But I'm a Floridian so anything below 75 degrees is freezing to me, lol. I have thin blood lol.

Well, you're out of state so you can just do the one from brevard county by mail. I wish I could have done that but we're FL residents so we had to go in person and we have a 3 day waiting period.
