You're entitled to your opinion. But it's not like I'm going to cancel a wedding that's almost completely paid for, because I had to have an unexpected surgery. That's just not going to happen!!

And for your information, it has nothing to do with your insurance premiums. This is a fund that our local hospital has. So no worries.. You can sit atop your pedestal and look down on me all you want. I'm not a person that ever asks others for anything. An unexpected surgery is not something someone can help. Believe me. I had to pay over $2000 out of pocket for my surgeon. So if I can get the assistance that my town offers people without ins, I'm damn sure going to take it. And they go on our income anyway. I have to show proof of everything. So I'm not lying to anyone!

I'm going to file for help on those though. Def must do that before the wedding, so I can only use my income, instead of both of ours.

We all have troubles...and of course things happen out of the blue. I just found it strange that so much money was being spent on a wedding....yet you didn't seem to have a problem telling only a part of the truth in order to have those bills paid by someone else.

I read that your surgery was a success....and I hope you are feeling fine now.

You are entitled to your opinion but I think you put it across a little more forcefully than was maybe entirely necessary. It would be nice if you could try to be a little kinder!!
I am very grateful, as I said earlier in this thread, that we have the NHS here in the UK and our healthcare is free at the point of delivery. Our system comes in for some criticism, but we are lucky in that if we need things such as emergency surgery, we get it, regardless of whether we have money or not.

Yes I'm only putting my income. We have separate bills. I only include the stuff that is mine. Not anything that belongs to him. We're not married.

Today was a good day! A lot was accomplished and things were knocked off of the to-do list. We took the dress to the lady for alterations. She gave her estimate, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. So that's good.

The hospital finally sent info back. They've set up payment plans!! Yay! I don't have to come out of pocket all at once. So that's a good thing!

So I really feel like stuff is getting done! Oh yeah!! We got our autographed congrats pic from Mickey and Minnie! It's so dang cute!

I have been lurking here looking for a Disbride that will be getting married while we are in Disney World and I finally found one! Your plans sound great and I LOVE your 2nd dress!! Don't get me wrong, the first was beautiful also, but that second one....WOW!!

DH and I are MUCH older than you and your soon to be DH. We honeymooned in DW 34 1/2 years ago when the only park was the MK! We have been back at least 4 times with our kid's and twice without them! They are old enough now to go and pay for themselves!!

Secretly, I'm hoping our DD would get married in DW someday! DS is already married.

Thanks for the compliments. I love the 2nd dress too. I took it for alterations yesterday and tried it on with my new slip.. which is a quinceanera slip... so that's giant and poofy!! My mom barely fit in the backseat with my dress and slip back there. It's gorgeous to me!! My DF says he has images of 1 of the girls from the gypsy wedding show. I told him it wasn't THAT poofy!!

Congrats to you for being married so long!! That is a real accomplishment!! And I'm sure with a little convincing you can get your DD to get married there. There's so many options to choose from!!

Yes I feel like things are getting done. Still have more to do though. Of course you can always think of something else to do. My main thing is selecting jewelry. The store we bought all of our rings from lets their future brides borrow jewels on their wedding day. They just don't want you to select it too far in advance in case it sells, and you have to choose something else. We'll probably do that this weekend after work. Got to get all of the overtime we can right now. That means extra spending money!!

Anyone can get the pics from M&M. I was jealous of someone's I saw on the boards. There's an address for them. You just mail them an invitation, and they'll send back the pic. Pretty cool!! I have the address if you want it. I also have the 1 for Cinderella & Prince Charming. We haven't gotten a pic back from them yet.

Hello all!! Just need to kind of vent a little!! Well 1st, today is DF's birthday!! Now he's officially 32.

Now to vent. My DF's mom and dad (so this means is little sister also), has been very back and forth with the wedding plans. We're not going to go into that. We'll just say they find plenty of other money to do anything else they want to do, but can't come up with at least $100 to drive down to DW and back for the day. WTH! My DF is their oldest son. You'd think they'd want to be there. His brother called Sat and mentioned he might have to call and cancel her room reservation. So of course we wanted to know what was going on. We have to turn everything in by Monday. He went over to her house after his softball practice Sunday to ask her if they were still going. She said yes, of course they are. But she said they wouldn't be able to stay as long as expected. It was previously Wed-Sat. She was cutting back to Wed-Fri. Not much of a cut if you ask me. But whatever. Anyway... he gets home and doesn't even have time to walk in the door, and the phone starts ringing. It's her and she says they can't come. Things have come up, and they have to cancel everything now!! I'm beyond pissed. I feel so bad for him. He called his 2 aunts that live in Tampa and asked them if they could come. They have to request time off and won't know anything until the beginning of next week. Hopefully they will be able to make it. If not, he only has his brother and his wife, and his best friend. Besides that, the people are my family or mutual friends. So that really sucks!!

Plus my sister's bf has been having lots of medical problems. So they're not sure if he's coming. She definitely is. He won't know until the 18th.

So what do I do about turning in my stuff on the 15th?? We have 3 unknowns right now. That's 3 chair covers and sashes and 3 meals. If they say no, we're not inviting anyone else. We just want to leave it as is. Will I be able to delete them after I turn in my BEO and final payment?? I don't see why not when I haven't even gotten my floral in yet! I have a round about figure for that in my head. So I think we're good on that.

That's about it right now. The DF said I'm writing a book, and he's trying to read over my shoulder.. and I definitely can't stand that.

His parents are just really annoying to me. I understand their money situation. His dad took early retirement (because he just didn't want to work anymore), and his mom is on disability. But they spend money for stupid things... like spending real money to get fake computer money on farmtown. I don't understand this. It makes no sense to me. But whatever. That's her lose.

I sent her an email the other day. I'm waiting to hear back from her. She's pretty busy all week, so hopefully she'll get a chance to check her email. I try to ask about the floral every time I email her.

1 month from today I will be married!!

I faxed our BEO and payment confirmation today! At least that's taken care of. The only thing we have left to pay for is floral. Hopefully we will get that soon. We've changed our floral so much, I just want to make sure everything is right.

The DF's aunt called today. Her boss is letting her have the day off!! now we're waiting to find out if his other aunt can go or not. If not, it might be his uncle in Tampa. At least he will have family there. And he said his aunt was super excited on the phone, and that makes me really excited!!

We also went today to pick out jewelry. I'm borrowing from the jewelry store we bought our rings from. I picked out a necklace and pair of earrings...then a back-up pair just in case the 1st pick was sold before our wedding. Let me just say this was a very hard decision!! I didn't get any pics though. I always forget because I'm super speedy when it comes to picking stuff out.

Anyway... I'll try to find pics of jewelry and post them and also the dresses I got when I went for exchanges at David's Bridal.

online check-in September 4th!! Im so freakin excited I can't even stand it!!

Thanks!! The wedding is in 28 days. We were supposed to be leaving to go down the day before, but it looks like we might be able to go down the day before that!! If all works out with the dress and the tux that is! This way we can try to get some of our shopping done at the outlet mall before we go to Disney. We will just stay somewhere on International that's closer to the mall.

I also booked our couples massage at the Mandara. I can't believe I forgot to mention that in my last post. We are super excited about this!!

Man how times flies!!! My countdown ticker no longer says "months"!! that's crazy!!! I've got to email everyone and confirm everything for the day of. I would say this is customary?

And this hurricane really has me nervous. Not that this 1 will be around when we go down... But another 1 could be!! This is not something we thought about until after we had already picked our date. as you can tell, I really don't pay attention to stuff like that. I was looking for a date that was in a non busy time at Disney, and work around a time that wasn't good for any girl during her wedding and honeymoon!! TMI, I know... but hopefully all works out!!

We're going tomorrow to try and find my Mom a dress. Yes we only have 3 weeks left, and she still doesn't have a dress. Crazy!!!!

We also found out Charley's other aunt will be able to come to the wedding!! this is great!

We also passed out our info folders. Everyone loved them!! I don't think I posted pics of them. We found these cute Mickey folders at walmart. Big score!!
