okay so lets get to some updates from this weekend.

On saturday we went to have a final dress fitting. Mine fit like a glove, I lost exactly the right amount of weight! so I am very happy. Tho I am still being very careful of what I will eat because I don't want to gain any! I didn't hit my goal but I am only 5 pounds off. so....I can live with that! so now I will pick it up on tuesday all fluffed and pretty to take home!

My mom also had her last fitting. I had never seen her dress I think its really pretty. She is so cute and because my parents are divorced (only officially a month ago!) she wants to look GOOD hahaha and keeps asking if she looks okay. I think she looks great.

Then we went home and did all the many projects I had planned!

we got our scoops in and put the in a banana split dish to go along with the soda pop idea

my mom wouldn't let me open any bags to see how it looked. Also DF decided to change one of the candy's at the last min. and its gummy sharks...and I think they might be too sticky to work so he promised he will find something else. grrrrrr men

i've had these forever but never posted them! I am going to make a groom's cake for our rehearsal dinner with these guys on top

I bought this ribbon for the gifts for our BM, GM and parents. we are wrapping them in silver

DF's shoes. they are gun metal grey and he had a tie made to match. DF has NO idea that my dress has silvery grey lace. he just accidentally matched me!

these we got to put in the welcome bags. which btw I have to run around NYC trying to get them to everyone's hotel!!!

The second day was my hair appointment and when the whole weekend went down hill. She trimmed and dyed my hair...and when I saw the color I almost cried. I would call the color Black cherry....now if you look at my engagement photos my hair was a dark strawberry blonde....OMG I cried everytime I looked in the mirror. DF being DF said "you look like a goth" when he saw me...ever so helpful. So I have been doing everything I can to try and strip it. so we will see how it goes. Then I have bought the same box color that will hopefully cover this darkness. She told me to calm down and she could fix it next tuesday if I hate it. Well I can't wait til next tuesday what if she messes it up again?!!? Normally I wouldn't care. its hair whatever. but this is my wedding and I look bad with really dark hair and curls don't show up as nicely. SIIIIGH I will keep you all posted on what color my hair turns

Here is the next problem of the weekend. The colors don't match! they are all different!!! I FREAKED when I realized it. The FG dress is a million shades too dark and then we couldn't figure out the ties. Who do we match them to....the girls....or the FG? Also the BM's necklaces looked teal next to everything. So we decided to changed the ties to yellow hoping this would solve the problem. then we learned the BM's dresses aren't as yellow as we thought!!! too many problems. SO we did the best we could. This is tie with the BM's color swatch and necklaces. I don't think the colors are TOO off.

The pattern fabric is the tie for the boys. I thought it picked up the blues nicely.

The only problem now is that we need to find a ribbon for my bouquet that is the same color! The original ribbon was very yellow so it doesn't work. That is what i will search for this weekend!!! SIIIIIIGH

WOW. You have some great updates and projects you've finished! I don't think the color differences are terribly noticable...but I understand. I mean we took MONTHS to find the RIGHT color yellow for Eric's tie! Hopefully you'll find something that might work better! I love all the details you put into everything, it's going to look amazing all together.

Let us know what happens with your hair. I hope you're able to fix it the way you want it to look!

I love all the wedding crafts, the pinwheels are awesome! Did you make them all?

Don't worry too much about the colors, I don't think it's that noticeable but I do understand how frustrating that is. You could always do a white ribbon for your bouquet, and that would match you.

Oh no, I hope she can fix your hair! That's so upsetting but I think they can usually make it lighter easier than they can make it darker, so she should be able to fix it, but I would be nervous too.

Can't believe your wedding is so soon now!

I don't know how I missed all your updates...but wow! Everything looks amazing! I love the pinwheels with the moss! The candy buffet looks so great, and I love the idea for the card box (which I totally might steal for my at home reception). The sugar flowers for the cake look great

Plus how often do you think the bouquet will be placed right next to youR DF's tie to be able to see the difference?

I was just in a wedding for a friend, and her wedding dress had a slight pink tinge to it, and she was worried the yellow bridesmaid dresses were going to look terrible next to it. On the day no one would have known a thing. I only knew because she freaked out about it to me.

Everything looks awesome though, don't worry about it too much if you can't find something that matches perfectly, it will all look gorgeous on the day

hahaha yeah i'm just a big brat about it. I have to find one thats at least a little close because the difference was crazy. I am not going to stress just a little closer would be nice.

well actually Df's tie is gun metal grey! haha so it won't ever be close to the ties. its more the BM's dresses i was worried about because it will be very close to them and they are the swatch color in the picture (I was under the impression they were yellower then they actually are....why? I don't know) I guess brides freak out about small things! hahha I'm sure on the day I won't even care hahaha. Thanks hun!

Thanks hun! We worked our butts off this weekend. Its a really great idea....I wish I could remember who I stole it from so that I could give her credit. I got it at a craft store called Micheal's which I don't know if you have in Canada. I lucked out at finding it so i hope you can get one too.

I am still working on stripping it. it is def still dark. I am going to prell is again tonight which got a lot out 2 days ago. then my friend is going to help me deep condition it on sunday. I have bought the red color (same as the engagement photos) and I hope it will work out good. Right now its like a dark auburn color. even tho she claimed there was no brown...it looks it.

Yeah I thought about the white ribbon but my BM's have white so she was trying to make me different and I am having pearls running down it so they won't stand out as nicely on the white. so we will see! I'm gonna search.

We are going to try to fix my hair this weekend. Tho I am now doing it myself because.....I don't want to deal with her messing it up again. Which i'm sure will annoy her. OH well!

I know! so close! I have too much to do before I fly out on tuesday! crazy. Luckily I have sunday and monday off! so I will have time to do things and run around. so yesterday I received DF's watch. the engraving is perfect but there is a scratch. right next to the engraving. I called them and they are redoing it and I should have it by the 3rd. which obviously worries me. What if its wrong or is scratched again? They packed it retardedly and when I tried to explain to the girl how they packed it and why it was messed up she kind of blew me off. SOOOO I am hoping it arrives nice and perfect this time!!! I will take pictures of it later to show the engraving. and such because I won't have time after I get the new one. I have a billion things to do this weekend. I hope they all get done! My good friend is coming over to help deep condition my hair before I dye it again. (i'm so afraid it will fall out or something stupid like that) my mom is afraid it will turn green? I'm like Brown red + red red don't = green.

My mom gave me a bag that was made from the extras of her wedding dress. She carried it around at her wedding to put cards in. So I am changing it a bit (making it smaller) and overlaying the extra lace of my dress (we ordered a bunch for the sleeves and now have a bunch left over) to make a purse for the day.

Most of this weekend is cleaning the house so its nice for our house sitter. and then packing packing packing. I leave tuesday and need to make sure DF knows what to bring (he stresses when it comes to packing and I actually like it! weird...)

so whats what I have right now. probably will post any extras that happen this weekend!

OH! I almost forgot! We paid off our wedding bands last night!

I got a pick a number on the prizematron for my question from march on the disunplugged! I am very excited about that btw

Okay sooo....this is probably going to be my last post til after we come back! I leave tomorrow for NY and then the wedding is sunday. It keeps saying rain which totally upsets me. but it has moved from Morning to Afternoon (which is WAY worse) so my Best man says that it will probably keep moving to night (which would be totally fine) I hope she is right. I think we are pretty much all packed.

I will give you a run down of this week because I won't be able to later.

tomorrow I get to pick up my dress

Then Wednesday and Thursday are our run around crazy and finish everything.

Thursday night DF gets in and we are going to spend time with my dad.

Friday we are going to get the marriage license, pick up the Best man from the airport and then get her tux fitted. Then we are off to the city to see luke's mom and then Bachelor and Bachelorette party. (should be interesting) Then saturday all girls are going to get their nails done and then rehearsal dinner (without the actual rehearsal!!! haha)

Sunday is the wedding!

Monday we are doing a brunch at my mom's house for people who want to come.

Here are the few things i said i'd post.

this is my something old. the bag underneth was made from the bottom of my mom's wedding dress and then I sewed my lace on top. I'm going to use it as a purse for the day.
